π Some lessons can't be learned in a classroom.
Teamwork. Respect. Enjoyment. Discipline. Sportsmanship.
These are the lessons that stay with young people long after the final whistle.
At Oakham RFC Minis & Juniors, we believe rugby is about far more than winning matches. It's about building confidence, creating friendships, developing character and helping every child become the best version of themselves.
Our TREDS values are at the heart of everything we do:
Because we're not just building players.
We're building better people.

π€π Vice Captain 2026/27 ππ€
We are delighted to announce Nathan Gardener continues as one of Oakham RFC's Vice Captains for the 2026/27 season.
Nathan has been a key figure within the squad and his commitment, leadership and passion for the club make him a natural choice to continue in the role. Leading by example on and off the field, he will play an important role as the club prepares for the new season.
Speaking about his appointment, Nathan said:
"I'm really excited for the upcoming rugby season and proud to carry on the role of vice captain. We've been working hard in preparation for pre-season, and I'm looking forward to seeing that effort pay off on the pitch when we get together on the 9th July! I'm excited to contribute to the team's success, support my teammates, and take on the challenges ahead as we aim to make this a memorable and successful season."
Congratulations Nathan on your appointment as Oakham RFC Vice Captain for the 2026/27 season.
We look forward to seeing Nathan help lead the squad into what promises to be another exciting year in black and amber.

π Rugby Builds More Than Players.
At Oakham RFC, we believe sport should do more than teach children how to win matches.
It should build confidence.
It should teach respect.
It should develop resilience.
It should create friendships.
And it should help young people become the very best version of themselves.
From our youngest Minis taking their first steps into rugby, through to our Juniors and Colts, we're proud to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where every child can learn, develop and belong.
The skills learned on a rugby pitch last far beyond the final whistle.

π Not every child wants to be the fastest.
Some children are quick.
Some are strong.
Some are leaders.
Some are thinkers.
Some take a little longer to find their confidence.
That's why rugby is different.
At Oakham RFC Minis & Juniors, every child has a place. Every player contributes. Every player belongs.
Our focus isn't just on rugby skills β it's on developing teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.
Whether your child has played before or has never picked up a rugby ball, we'd love to welcome them along.
