🏉 PRE-SEASON FIXTURES ARE HERE! 🏉

The 2025/26 season is nearly upon us and we’ve got two exciting pre-season fixtures to get us underway!

First up, next Sunday we take on Torquay Women, with our development side playing their first fixture of the season- a brilliant opportunity to get valuable game time and start the season strong 💪🏻

Then in two weeks time the first team have a big Devon derby clash, as we face local rivals Crediton Women! 🔥

We’d love to see plenty of support on the sidelines for both fixtures as the squad gears up for another exciting season ahead! 🙌🏻

Last night at training we kicked things off with a fantastic Clubbercise Okehampton with Gem- a fun, energetic way to get everyone moving before heading straight into our rugby training. A massive thank you to Gem for coming along! 🪩🏉

It was also brilliant to welcome three new faces to the team! 👏

If you’ve been thinking about giving rugby a go, there’s never been a better time to join us. Whether you’re completely new to the game or an experienced player, we welcome women of all ages and abilities.

💥 We’re especially on the lookout for front row players as we prepare for our season in Women’s Championship South West 2, but there’s a place for everyone in our squad. If you’re strong, determined, and love being at the heart of the action, or think you could be a great front row player - we’d love to have you!

This tournament has always been about more than rugby. It’s about bringing people together, creating conversations, supporting one another in lonely times and proving that our rugby community really does

Join us Tuesday 7:00–8:30pm and Thursday 7:00–9:00pm at Okehampton RFC as we continue building towards the new season.

Whether you’re completely new to rugby, returning to the game, or an experienced player looking for a new club, we’d love to welcome you. There really is a place for everyone, regardless of your fitness level or experience!

We’re especially keen to recruit front row players, so if you’ve ever fancied giving it a go, now’s the perfect time to get involved💪🏻

What a fantastic day we had at the Give A Ruck 7s Tournament at Launceston RFC yesterday! ☀️

The day was all about coming together, enjoying our rugby, and raising awareness that it’s okay not to be okay. There is always support available for anyone who may be struggling, and it was brilliant to be part of such an important event.

On the pitch, we played four pool games, winning three and drawing our final game against Launceston Ladies .That set up a rematch in the final, where we came away with a hard-fought 4–3 victory. It was a fantastic contest, and we’re already looking forward to facing Launceston again in the league this season!

A special mention to some of our players who also pulled on the shirt for the devon_deaf_ladies team throughout the day. It was great to see them supporting another side, even when it meant lining up against their Okehampton teammates – a brilliant example of the spirit of rugby.

A huge thank you to Give A Ruck for organising such a fantastic event. We know how much hard work goes into making days like this happen. Thank you as well to Launceston RFC for hosting us and everyone else involved in making the tournament such a success. We also wish everyone who picked up an injury a speedy recovery.

We are excited to be welcoming teams to the Give A Ruck 7s tournament tomorrow to help start important conversations about mental health within the sport, and to support The Farming Community Network who provide emotional support to farmers, farming families and rural communities.

A new season means a new challenge! 🤩

This year we’ll be taking on a whole new set of teams in the Women’s Championship South West 2. We’re looking forward to some exciting local derby clashes with Launceston and Cullompton, as well as a few long away trips throughout the season.

The squad is ready to embrace the challenge, and we can’t wait to get back out on the pitch. Your support means everything to us, so whether you’re cheering us on at home or travelling away, we’d love to see you there!
