IT’S RACE WEEK!
Only 3 days to go until we’re getting ready to set off from Okehampton Camp.
How far will we go for ourselves and others, running Through the Darkness and into the light.
What:
12 hours from dusk til dawn
12km loop
306m elevation per lap
How many laps?
Why:
Raising awareness and money for mental health and Mountain Rescue…across the UK Mountain Rescue teams are increasingly responding to those suffering a mental health crisis rather trauma and incidents.

Behind every stride there’s a story ⛰️ Meet Meg, a shining example of courage and resilience who embarked on a journey through mental health challenges and found strength in trail running:
"As someone who has struggled with poor mental health at different stages in my life, I have repeatedly found that trail running, hiking and just generally spending time outside have always been a huge help. I made my debut as a trail ultra runner last year and am looking forward to seeing how many laps I can achieve at Through the Darkness.
As a team member with the North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team, I think this is a truly fantastic opportunity to raise money for Mountain Rescue teams across the country and raise awareness of mental health issues."
Meg's journey is a reminder that each step forward is a victory. Join us on July 1st - 2nd for Through The Darkness and let your own inspiring journey unfold. Together, we'll break barriers, uplift one another, and ignite hope.
Register now and be part of a community committed to making a difference! 🏔️🏃♀️🏃♂️

Through The Darkness: Igniting Hope, Empowering Change
Through The Darkness is more than a trail running event; it's a transformative journey that shines a light on two crucial causes: Mental Health Awareness and Mountain Rescue. Join us on July 1st - 2nd as we come together to create a brighter, more compassionate world.
In the wilds of Dartmoor, participants will embark on an inclusive adventure, running, jogging, or walking as many 12km laps as possible in 12 hours. It's a test of endurance, resilience, and unity as we challenge ourselves and support one another.
All money raised will be split across Mountain Rescue teams around the UK to help them support those dealing with a mental health crisis.
