West Exe U12 2 v Oke U12 vipers 4 ⚽️
A lovely warm Saturday morning, the team travelled away to face the league winners. There were some tough battles from the get-go.
Laurence made a crucial clearance off the line. Alex then capitalized on a loose back pass, rounding the keeper to score our first goal. An Okehampton corner led to an own goal by a defender, making it 0-2. Excellent defending and great saves from Harry kept a clean sheet at halftime.
In the second half, a lovely ball over the top found Alex, but his shot went just wide. Oscar then scored from a great first touch n finish in the box to make it 0-3. West Exe managed to pull one back quickly, and then another goal from a playing-out mistake made it 2-3. Finally, sustained pressure from Okehampton forced a mistake from the West Exe keeper, and Jake Q capitalized to score from 20 yards, ending the match at 2-4.
Overall, an excellent performance from top to bottom rightly see’s the whole team take man of the match 👏
That’s a wrap for the 25/26 season with Okehampton Vipers finishing in 5th place in Division One in the EDYL.
Thank you to the coaches and parents for all your support 💛💙⚽️

Huge congratulations to our U10 football teams who took part in the Mark Wickett Memorial Tournament in Tavistock this weekend ⚽️
Both teams — Thunder and Lightning — had an incredible day, competing brilliantly and finishing on the podium to earn their well-deserved medals 🏅
🌩️ Team Thunder were outstanding, winning the tournament with an impressive record — just 1 loss, 1 draw, and victories in all their other matches!
⚡ Team Lightning also delivered a fantastic performance, securing silver place with only 1 loss, 2 draws, and winning the rest of their games.
An amazing achievement by every single player. The boys showed great skill, teamwork, and determination all day — especially with only one substitute, which made it even tougher.
So proud of you all 💛💙⚽️

Oke Under 8s vs Central ⚽️
Okehampton Royals and Blues played their last game of the season.
The Royals started well with 3 early goals from Jacob. Central pulled one back to make it 3-1 at half time.
Into the 2nd half and Jacob scored again before Central replied quickly to make the score 4-2.
Ellis and Sully then scored a goal each late on to wrap the game up 6-2.
In their 2nd game the royals started well again and Arlo played a good pass to Ellis who ran through to score. Fo the rest of the half central were on top but some brilliant saves from Reggie and defending from Billy kept the score 1-0 at half time.
In the 2nd half the royals played a lot better and 3 goals from ellis, 1 for sully and 1 for Arlo made it a comfortable 6-0 win.
In the Blues 1st match a solitary goal for Kayden was all that separated the sides at half time with Freddie H making a couple of good saves.
In the 2nd half the blues dominated and three quick fire goals from Freddie H put Oke 4-0 up. In the last couple of minutes a great through ball from Freddie H to Harvey who drilled it first time into the corner of the net for his first goal in youth football.
In the 2nd game a tough first half playing up the slope with Oke creating most of the chances but not able to find the net. Into the 2nd half Oke dominated and three goals from Kayden and two from Freddie H sealed another 5-0 win.
Again thanks for continued support from our sponsors Budgens Okehampton and Sentinel Pest Control 🤩

Lympstone U12s v Okehampton Vipers U12s ⚽️
1-7
Okehampton got off to a slow and lethargic start in the opening 10 minutes, with Lympstone applying plenty of early pressure. However, once Oke settled, the game quickly turned.
The breakthrough came from Jackson, who calmly slotted the ball into the net. This was soon followed by a second goal from Alex, as Okehampton began to find their rhythm. From that point on, the team really stepped up a gear, producing some of the best passing football they’ve played all season.
Conner added a third with a great run down the flank before finishing well. A substitution saw Jake Q enter the pitch and make an instant impact, scoring within minutes of coming on.
Lympstone continued to press and were rewarded with a penalty, which was well taken, giving the ever-reliable Harry no chance.
Okehampton responded immediately, with Alex grabbing another goal to extend the lead Alex added a 3rd goal to have another hatrick for the season to his tally! The team continued to create chances, coming close on several occasions, before Coen added the final goal—just managing to lift the ball over the keeper.
Overall, this was arguably the best football Okehampton have played all year.
Player of the Match: Coen 👏

Moors Youth U12s v Okehampton U12’s Vipers ⚽️
Moors Youth 4–0 Okehampton ☀️
Tough one for Oke on Monday in a wide-open game in Tiverton. The first half was end-to-end with chances for both sides, but Moors Youth were more clinical and went in 2–0 up.
Harry was busy all afternoon with some top saves keeping it from getting worse 🙌 Oke did create moments going forward, just couldn’t quite find the finish.
In the second half Moors controlled the game more and added two more, including a late free kick to wrap it up.
Well deserved player of the match was awarded to Connor 👏
Not our day, but plenty of effort from the lads 👊
