💜🫘Jumping Beans with FOOTsteps 🫘💜

Dance and movement based classes for toddlers and young children aged 2-4years and their parents/guardians.

✨When? Mondays, Term time 09:45-10:15

During a Jumping Beans session young sparkles and their parents/guardians go on different adventures to the moon, seeking pirate treasure or to a special island and use props to encourage imagination and movement 🚀🪎🏝️

Fully ISTD qualified and with over 20 years experience teaching early years, Miss Clare introduces natural actions of the body such as walking, running, jumping, skipping, hopping and galloping.

The classes are designed to help physical development, co-ordination, concentration, creativity and self-expression 💫

💜💚An exciting week as planning continues for the Minis Show 💜💚

Excitement has been building this week as some of our younger sparkles have starting trying on their costumes for our upcoming Minis Show 🤩

Can you guess which of our favourite characters have inspired our dances?! 💫

💜👞 International Tap Dance Day 👞💜

May 25th marks International Tap Dance Day, a day to honor the art form and the legendary tap dancer, Bill “Bojangles” Robinson (whose birthday was May 25, 1878).

We LOVE tap dancing here at FOOTsteps with it being securely one of the most loved genres amongst us teachers!

Tap Dance is an exciting, percussive, rhythmical American dance form. The dancer uses their feet to strike the floor, beating out a melody, with tap shoes which have small metal plates on the toe and heel to give the distinctive sound. Tap dance is a theatrical art form often seen on screen and stage in musicals 💫

To celebrate, the inspiring have released a tutorial for one of their combos free of charge! All you have to do is email with the subject ‘combo’ to [email protected] 👍

Suitable for our senior tappers and experienced adult tappers - why not give it a go this half term!? 👞

With the spring exam period upon us we want to wish all FOOTsteps students taking their SATS, GCSEs and A Levels the best of luck🍀

Dance has proven benefits on memory, mood and sleep. So whatever happens remember to keeep dancing! 🪩💫

We are so proud of every performer for not only sparkling and shining on that stage but being helpful, cheeky and organised backstage - it seems that talent and big hearts go together 💕

To every CREW member - a HUGE Thank You. You were just amazing at keeping everyone happy and organised and we hope you had a nice quiet evening after 😂
