Founded in Greater Manchester, UK in 2008, we’re the North West’s first and finest women's roller derby league, entirely run and owned by the skaters, for the skaters. We have two active teams and cater for all skill levels from recreational beginner’s games to international competitions around the world.

It’s International Non-Binary People’s Day today!! And what better way to celebrate than with some words from our league’s lovely president, Bitchy ☔️🌟
“Happy International Non-Binary People’s Day! 💛🤍💜🖤
As a non-binary person and a member of the roller derby community for the past 18 years, derby has given me the space to explore who I am and find a community where I feel accepted. That sense of belonging isn’t something I’ve found everywhere, and it’s one of the reasons this sport means so much to me.
There’s still plenty of work to do to make sport welcoming and accessible for non-binary people, and as a board member at Rainy City Roller Derby, I’m committed to helping create an environment where everyone can feel safe, respected and able to be themselves.
I’m not always confident sharing this part of my identity, but I have always felt able to do so within Rainy City and the wider roller derby community.
