🟡🔵 KC Runners — Summer 2026 Recap 🔵🟡
What a summer it’s been for KC Runners! 🏃♂️🏃♀️
From fast 5Ks and 10Ks to half marathons, hills, trails and everything in between, the yellow and blue have been out in force!
Here’s a look back at some of the events where our runners have been getting the miles, in this summer:
🌙 Night of One Miles – Omagh
A local favourite and a great night of racing, with KC Runners putting down the miles on home turf.
🏃 Paul Murray Series
Plenty of racing, plenty of competition and plenty of KC representation across the series.
🌊⛰️ Sea to Sky – Newcastle
From sea level to the Mournes; a serious test of the legs and a brilliant challenge for our runners.
⛰️ Mullacharn Giant Race
The hills were calling… and the goats in KC answered! A tough rough in the good weather we enjoyed in July but the training all paid off!
🏃♀️ Hillsborough Half & 10K
Another fantastic day of racing, with KC runners taking on both the half marathon and 10K distances.
🌊 Bunbeg 5K
A trip west for some fast racing and another opportunity to fly the KC Colours
🏃 Dromore 5K & 10K
More local racing, more KC runners and more strong performances across both distances.
🏅 Donegal Half Marathon
A brilliant way to round out a busy summer of racing, with KC runners taking on the half marathon challenge
💛💙 More than the races
But the summer hasn’t just been about times, PBs and podiums. It’s been about turning up, supporting each other, chasing goals, celebrating successes and enjoying running together. It has been great to get out together in the early mornings and late evenings to get the miles or kms in (depending on your persuasion)
Whether it was your first race, a new PB, a tough hill, a long-distance challenge or simply getting out there in the KC colours it has been amazing this summer
A huge well done to everyone who has represented KC Runners this summer. 👏
