Ombersley Ladies' Singles Final 2026

We had a new Ladies' Singles Champion this year at our Club Championships! 🏆

We don't play a huge amount of singles at the club, but this year a number of intrepid ladies entered the singles, with a bit of encouragement 😉. To their surprise they all rather enjoyed the matches 😊

Finals Day saw new challenger Verity facing Nat, a many time finalist. Both these ladies are very experienced doubles players and watching them both adapt to singles play made for an excellent final. Congratulations to Verity on winning her first Club Championships title and well fought Nat. 👏

We were delighted to hold our first Padel Doubles Final as part of our Club Championships on Saturday. Congratulations to our Champions Giles & Tom and well played to our runners up Katie and Gail!

Padel has really taken off at the club since we installed our first court in 2025 and the momentum continues with our second court now up and running.

Kerry Ligthert, H&W’s Walking Tennis Lead spent this morning at the VCSE network meeting in Pershore, enlightening delegates from a number of community, NHS and voluntary organisations about the benefits of walking tennis and how it can keep people active & healthy!

Mixed Doubles Tennis Final Club Championship Ombersley 2026 🏆

Mixed tennis is very popular at Ombersley, with Social Mix Ins on Thursday and Friday. Mixed Team Practice on a Thursday evening supports those members playing in our four mixed teams.

The finalists in our Club Championships at the weekend are all regulars at Mixed Team Practice. Every game in the final was tightly fought, but congratulations to Holly and Mike who won in the first final for both of them. Well battled Julia and Ollie reaching the final for the second year running.
