For the first time this season, the votes simply couldn’t separate our two leading offensive performers so our Regional Playoff Offensive MVP award is shared by duo Andy and Josh Goddard! 👏🐍

Andy led the offence from quarterback, distributing the ball across the field and accounting for 22 scores during the day. Josh proved to be one of his most dangerous targets, repeatedly finding space and delivering in the biggest moments.

It was a special playoff performance from the father-and-son combination, helping the Serpents compete at the regional playoffs for the first time in club history.

🔥 DEFENSIVE MVP – REGIONAL PLAYOFFS 🔥

A huge congratulations to Kieran Parker, who was voted our Defensive MVP for the Regional Playoffs! 👏🐍

With all of our recognised blitzers unavailable, Kieran stepped into the role and delivered when the team needed him most. Taking on an unfamiliar responsibility at the biggest stage of our season, he produced an outstanding all-round performance:

🐍⚡ PLAYOFF RUN COMPLETE – BAFA PREMIERSHIP NORTH RESULTS ⚡🐍

The final battle of our 2026 season is complete and the West Lancashire Serpents finish 6th overall in the BAFA Premiership North! 🏆💚

For our first ever season at Premiership level, and our first ever appearance in the Premiership playoffs, there’s a huge amount for this group to be proud of.

🐍 Quarter Final
Serpents 26–33 Newcastle Blackhawks ❌

🐍 Placement Game
Serpents 47–13 Renfrewshire Raptors ✅

🐍 5th/6th Placement Game
Serpents 19–39 Salford Scorpions ❌

We opened against a strong Newcastle Blackhawks side and pushed them all the way, eventually falling just one score short of a place in the semi-finals.

The Serpents responded brilliantly against Renfrewshire Raptors, putting 47 points on the board to secure our first ever Premiership playoff victory and move into the battle for 5th place. 🐍🔥

By the time the final game arrived, though, the day had taken its toll. With a smaller squad available, the schedule running behind resulted in some players having to leave before the final game. Tiredness began to set in across the remaining group and we couldn’t sustain our usual standards.

We kept battling, but eventually ran out of steam against Salford, who took the victory and 5th place.

That means our first Premiership adventure ends with the Serpents ranked:

From earning promotion and competing at a new level to securing a playoff place and then winning a game when we got there, this squad has continued to make club history. 💚

We came into this season wanting to prove that we belonged.

Our journey through the BAFA Northern Premiership has led us to this moment…Our first ever Premiership Playoff appearance. 🐍💚

Just like every great Pokémon Trainer, we’ve battled our way across the region, learned from every challenge, and evolved with every game. Every touchdown, every interception, every hard-fought victory has earned us another badge on our journey.

Now, the road leads to Carlisle.

The Pokédex is complete.
The team is assembled.
The roster is locked in.

The wait is over.

This Saturday, the West Lancashire Serpents make history as we compete in our first-ever BAFA Northern Premiership Playoff game.

Our reward? A trip to Carlisle to face the Newcastle Blackhawks in the opening round.

When we set our goals at the start of the season, they were simple:
✅ Compete in the Premiership.
✅ Secure our place for another season.
✅ Earn a place in the playoffs.

We’ve achieved every one of them.

Everything from this point forward is a bonus. We head to Carlisle with no pressure, nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Our aim is simple, play our brand of football, enjoy the occasion, and compete for every yard until the final whistle.

No matter what happens, we’re incredibly proud of what this squad has accomplished in our first season at this level. But if there’s one thing this team has shown all year, it’s that we’re never afraid of a challenge.

🔥 OFFENSIVE MVP – GAME DAY SIX 🔥

A huge congratulations to Adam Baker on being voted our Game Day Six Offensive MVP! 👏🐍

Stepping in at quarterback for the first time against the Manchester Titans Bees is no easy task, but Adam embraced the challenge and delivered a performance full of composure, confidence and determination. Leading the offense with 4 touchdown passes, he kept us in the fight all game and gave us every opportunity to come away with the win. 💚🔥

With the game on the line, Adam calmly marched the offense the length of the field in the final minute, throwing the go-ahead touchdown to put the Serpents in front. Although the Titans Bees managed to respond with a late score, Adam’s leadership and resilience under pressure showed exactly what this team is built on.

A huge congratulations to Jordan Walker on being voted our Game Day Six Defensive MVP! 👏🐍

This marks an incredible third Defensive MVP award in just six game days, highlighting the consistency and impact Jordan has brought to our defence all season. Week after week, he’s been a playmaker, and Game Day Six was no exception. 💚🔥

Jordan was everywhere on defence, reading the quarterback brilliantly, shutting down passing lanes and making crucial tackles whenever his team needed him.

Three MVP awards in six game days is a great achievement, especially when you consider Jordan only made the switch from offence in the off-season.

🐍🏁 RACE DAY COMPLETE – BAFA GAME DAY 6 🏁🐍

The chequered flag has fallen on the regular season, and although this wasn’t the finish we were hoping for, there’s still plenty to be proud of. 🏁💚

After hosting the final Game Day of the regular season, the Serpents finished the day 0-2, bringing our regular season record to 5-7.

Sometimes you cross the finish line on the podium… sometimes you spin out on the final lap. 🏎️💨🍌

With our playoff place already secured, game day 6 gave us the opportunity to rotate the squad, reward players with valuable game time, and continue building experience and depth across the roster.

The result against the Titans Bees could hardly have been closer, losing by a single point in a game that could easily have gone either way. While the Huntsman showed why they’re one of the league’s top teams, our players never stopped competing until the final whistle.

🏁 GAME DAY 6 - THE FINAL LAP OF THE REGULAR SEASON 🏁

The chequered flag is almost in sight. 🏎️💨

With our Northern Premier Division playoff place already secured and our status in the division confirmed for next season, this weekend gives us a fantastic opportunity to reward the commitment shown across the entire squad.

Throughout the season, every player has trained hard, pushed each other to improve, and played their part in getting us to this position. Now it’s time for more of the squad to get valuable minutes on the field as we continue building momentum towards the playoffs.

That doesn’t mean we’re taking our foot off the gas.

We’ll still be chasing every flag, every turnover, and every win as we face two tough opponents in the Manchester Titans Bees and the Leicester Huntsman. Every snap is another chance to sharpen our game before the knockout stages begin.
