What an incredible day for our Burscough U14s! 💚⚽

As we said goodbye to one season and welcomed the next, there was no better way to kick things off than an action-packed day at the Aqua Park in Delamere Forest!

There were plenty of laughs, a few spectacular wipeouts, loads of encouragement, and memories that will last a long time. Days like this remind us that football is about so much more than what happens on the pitch. It's about friendship, trust, teamwork, and creating a group that enjoys being together.

We're excited to welcome new faces into the squad and can't wait to see what this team can achieve together over the coming season. The foundations of a great team are built through experiences like these—having fun, supporting one another, and growing stronger as one.

☀️🥵 First official pre-season session complete! ⚽🔥

Safe to say the football was almost as hot as the weather tonight! 🌡️😂

A fantastic turnout from our U14 Girls for the first session of the official pre-season programme. Lots of energy, smiles, hard work, and plenty of water breaks needed in the scorching conditions!

It was great to get the girls together and start building towards what promises to be an exciting season ahead. The effort, attitude and enthusiasm on display tonight were brilliant to see.

September might seem a little way off, but the journey starts now, and we're excited to see what this talented group can achieve this season. 💪⚽

Burscough 2 - Remyca 2

Burscough FC U14s showed tremendous character, resilience and togetherness as they battled back from 2-0 down to earn a deserved 2-2 draw.

After a difficult start that saw the team fall two goals behind, the players never let their heads drop. Instead, they responded with positivity, determination and a real belief in one another. Their attitude throughout the game was outstanding, with every player continuing to work hard for the team and support each other.

The comeback reflected everything we want to see from this squad. While it's always nice to get a result, our focus is never on the result but the priority being developing players, building confidence, encouraging good habits and creating a strong squad culture. Today's performance was a perfect example of that development in action and strong training pitch work.

The players showed great maturity to stay calm, stick to the game plan and keep playing with energy and purpose. Their reward came with two well-earned goals that brought the game level and capped off an excellent second-half display.

Most pleasing of all was the togetherness shown by the group. Every player contributed, whether on the pitch or from the sidelines, and the support they gave each other was fantastic to see. These are the moments that help build a strong team and a positive environment where players can continue to learn and improve.

A draw that felt like much more because of the spirit, character and unity shown by the entire squad. Well done, Burscough FC U14s.💚
