OLYMPICS ANYONE?
Event Director Vince found a new running buddy this morning and is keen to share this heartwarming story:
“Hi Steve
If you do write a report for today can you please include Tara.
She is 7 years old and her mother runs with Skelmersdale Running Club.
Her mum struggled to keep up so she ran a lot of it with me. Until I struggled to keep up.
She was great company, total chatterbox and says that she wants to be in the Olympics.
I think she has a good chance. She also rang the PB bell!”
… and she ably assisted Vince in the post run equipment collection and storage. Clearly Tara is a winner already! 😀

WHAT A DAY!
Results are in - stacks of PB’s, well done everyone and an especial thanks to our merry band of pacers.
Thank you runners for your patience at the start - unfortunately traffic issues had a few knock on consequences for us - but hey ho, we got there.
TRAFFIC REMINDER

Yes please try to remember that can, packet or jar you bought this week for our foodbank collection tomorrow - put it by the door or with your car keys! Not long now till you can chase the pacer and achieve your goals. Traffic is heavy at the moment due to the golf so please try to set off early. We can't wait to see you!

pARKRUN EVE!
Excited? Here is what you need to know:
1. Foodbank John will be here - if you can please help.
2. Don’t forget your barcode.
3. We have a vast array of pacers.
4. 46 people have stepped up as volunteers, so bring a loud cheer with you.
5. Slather on the sunscreen.
6. Drink plenty of water before and after the run.
7. Help us to keep our reputation as the friendliest parkrun around - smiles and kind words all the way please.
I think that’s all - see you in the morning.

VOLUNTEERS PLEASE!
ROSTER NOW FILLED - fabulous news, thank you!
We are a bit squeezed for volunteers this week and would really appreciate if you could help out.
Currently we are short of a couple of marshals and also we only have one timekeeper.
All the essential roles are covered so we can run, however if our one timing device gives up runners will all have to be happy with the same time as everyone else. Safety is paramount and a full complement of marshals helps to ensure everyone is as safe as possible.
Please get in touch if you can assist.😀

SLIPPED MY MIND …
Supermarket shopping for me yesterday and I forgot it was P for provisions (even though I am Run Director on Saturday) - fortunately Jeanne saved the day and picked up some items for foodbank.
Don’t be like Stavros. ❤️
