🏈 Game Result & MVPs 🏈

A strong performance away to the Liverpool Raptors saw the Vikings secure a hard-fought 6–2 victory, marking our first win of the season and the first Division 1 win in team history. A complete team performance, with contributions across all three phases.

💪Team MVP – Matthew Hickman
Led the team out one last time, and stepped up massively at the end. Changed positions and didn’t just fill in, but competed with real tenacity. Delivered when called upon to punt, and showed elite football IQ, he made key plays all day.

⚔️Offense MVP – Dylan Bundy
Moved the chains all game at QB. Accurate across all three levels, composed in the pocket, and used his legs when needed. The scoreline doesn’t reflect the level of control he had over that game. He was in full command of the offense.

🛡️Defense MVP – Sergen Bozkurt
Big-time tackles throughout the game and showed elite leadership to ensure victory in the final minutes. Ensured everyone was organised and ready for every look the opposition showed. Dominant presence. True last line of defense.

🏈Special Teams MVP – Kai Patton
Dominated the field position battle once again. Huge performance.
And with the resilience he’s shown, we know he’ll be back stronger.

🌟Rookie MVP – Freddie Hall
Big-time catches all game, with a massive 4th down conversion to keep the chains moving. He was physical all game, making a big impact with his perimeter blocking.

A challenging morning saw the home side, MMU Eagles, secure a 48–6 victory. Despite the result going against the Vikings, there was no let-up as the players battled from start to finish.

Elite leadership all game. Pinpoint, high-difficulty throws under pressure.

⚔️Offense MVP – Mickey Melling
Hard running from start to finish. Set the physical tone.

🛡️Defense MVP – Matthew Hickman
Big-time tackles and a huge interception. Difference maker.

🏈Special Teams MVP – Kai Patton
Dominated the field position battle and delivered a clutch kick out of our end zone.

Strong interior presence. Big tackles when it mattered.

A tough morning saw the ULan Rams take home a 43–0 victory. Although the result didn’t fall in our favour, the Vikings battled tirelessly from start to finish, showing determination and resilience throughout.

Dominant on both sides of the ball. Controlled the trenches and set the tone.

⚔️Offense MVP – Liam Evison
Set the standard at FB all game. Physical and selfless.

🛡️Defense MVP – Dre Miles
Big-time pick and crucial tackles all day. Playmaker.

🏈Special Teams MVP – Connor Pickard
Great blocking and a clutch onside recovery.

🌟Rookie MVP – Mickey Melling
Hard running all game. Relentless.

A hard-fought contest saw the Manchester Tyrants take the win, 20-14. Although it wasn’t the result we were looking for, the Vikings battled until the very end, with plenty of positives to take from the game.

💪Team MVP – Dre Miles
Made a massive impact both on and off the field. In his first game for the team, he made it clear exactly what the Vikings are all about.

⚔️Offense MVP – Jack Hollington
Jack ran tenaciously all game, rarely going down on first contact while displaying excellent ball security.

🛡️Defense MVP – Rob Moss-Rathbone
Rob was disruptive all game, applying pressure to the opposition’s backfield on virtually every snap.

🏈Special Teams MVP – Kevin Magill
He was relentless on every rep he was in, giving maximum effort with no let-up.

🌟Rookie MVP – Alasdair Macdonald
Alasdair applied constant pressure to the QB and showed big improvement in his contain responsibilities.
