⚫🟡WEEKEND RESULTS AND MAN OF THE MATCH REPORTS⚫🟡

⚫🟡1st XI⚫🟡
The 1s took the battle bus over to Fleetwood CC for their penultimate match of the season. Driving up the weather perked up and showed promise for a dry, windy day near the coast. Having lost the toss, Fleetwood CC elected to field. Captain David Atherton and Ryan Hughes took to the crease. Unfortunately a dicy decision saw Hughes out lbw after facing just three balls. Carter Woodgate joined Atherton at the crease where the pair worked well to rotate the strike where possible. Unfortunately Atherton was also given lbw on a further LBW at the start of the 4th over. Small partnerships through the middle order and a short period from Jay Davies (11) saw the 1s reach a total of 69 all out. A total that felt wasn't enough.

Fleetwood CC requested to have teas rather than heading straight back out, which gave the 1st XI a chance to come up with a plan of action.

Woodgate opened the bowling with young Liam Dever, and in his first over Woodgate dealt the first blow dismissing the opener and breaking middle stump - setting the tone for his spell. Dever started well helping to apply pressure from the other end, however defending a small total the call was made to give someone else a chance to help make a break through. In the 7th over Woodgate struck again, leaving Fleetwood CC 29-2. Ambrose joined the attack and showed a brilliant controlled effort applying further pressure. The 9th over saw Woodgate send a further two stumps tumbling putting Fleetwood on the backfoot now 31-4. Like the 9th over, Woodgate took another two wickets in his 6th over, putting all the pressure onto Fleetwood as they stood 40-6. Woodgates final over saw yet another 2 wickets fall, leaving Fleetwood 47-8 from 13 overs. Needing only 23 runs with 42 overs, the game seemed to now be in the balance. Jay Davies took over from Woodgate, will the teams hope of continuing his recent success. With the help of Ambrose on the other end continuing to apply pressure on the other end, Davies dealt the final two blows on his 7th and 8th deliveries to leave Fleetwood all out for 58.

A true showcase of class from the 1st defending a small total. A true game changing spell from Carter!

The 1s have their last game next week at School Lane, where they will face off against Withnell Fold CC. Can they finish the season with another win?

⚫🟡2nd XI ⚫🟡
Playing their last game at home, the 2s elected to bat after winning the toss. Aaron Craven and Connor Marshall opened the batting and started strong. They formed an early partnership of 16 before Marshall was bowled in the 4th over. Phil Bradley-Jones joined Craven for a short spell before unfortunately being bowled for 0. Captain Anthony Dever joined the crease and crunched a lovely 4 off his first delivery. The pair formed a partnership working well to slowly rotate the strike and send any loose balls down to the boundary. Dever was unfortunately bowled in 14th over, finishing 10 from 16 deliveries. Small contribution from the middle order helped add to the score, where Lee Walsh joined Craven in continuing the efforts. Craven was later bowling in the 23rd over, finishing 47 from 76 balls, including five 4s. A valiant effort. Contributions from the tailend meant that Walsh finish 20* from 44 balls, and the 2nds total was 118 from 33.3 overs.

After teas, taking to the field saw Bradley-Jones & Craven opening the bowling. The pair worked hard and it paid off, Bradley-Jones striking in his 1st and a run out in his 2nd overs, meant that at the 10 over mark Wyre CC were 16-2. A fantastic catch from young Jaiden Walsh meant that Craven picked up his 1st wicket of the match. Craven later struck again in the 14th over to see off the remaining opener. Peter Cox and Neil Disley joined the attack, working hard to restrict any opportunities for scoring runs. The hard work paid off, and Cox struck in the 27th and 31st overs. Cox finished his spell of 10 overs, taking 2 wickets for only 19 runs. Young Charlie Haigh joined the attack, and in his first over struck. Charlie's spell of 3 overs finished 1-15. Bradley-Jones returned to the attack with Jaiden Walsh. With 4 overs in the innings remaining, and the game currently sitting 91-7, the 2s needed the last two wickets whilst Wyre required 7 runs per over. Bradley-Jones picked up his second wicket at the end of the 38th over putting further pressure on the remaining batsman. Jaiden Walsh, staying cool, calm and collected claimed the last wicket with a caught & bowled ended Wyres innings on 98, 20 runs short.

With that, the 2nd finish their season in high spirits and take 4th place in the Division.

This week's 1st XI Man of the Match was a simple decision. With his superb bowling spell, and top scoring with that the bat, is none other than over seas superstar Carter Woodgate. Helping to defend a small total, Carter demonstrated determination and true skill claiming 8 wickets for only 16 runs from his 7 over spell. With the bat, Carter scored 19 from 36 balls. A fantastic effort Woody!

This week's 2nd Man of the Match is Aaron Craven. Aaron showed fantastic grit with the bat, scoring 47 from 76 balls, including five 4s. Aaron also took 2 wickets from his 10 over spell, going for only 26 runs with two maidens. Well done Az!

⚫🟡 T20 FINALS ⚫🟡

The T20 Squad faced off against Preston Strikers CC in the Palace Shield Twenty20 Division 2 Playoffs Final on Monday 31st August.

A very heavy celebration for the union of Mr and Mrs Hughes meant that everyone felt a little rough. Regardless, we were in high spirits for the game ahead. With the weather threatening the game, everyone banded together to get the pitch fit and ready for play to begin.

Winning the toss with his trusty £2 coin, captain David Atherton elected to bat first. Opening the batting, Luke Murray and Ryan Hughes took to the crease. Much to Murray's dismay, the first ball stopped short of the rope. However, the lads pushed hard and ran a begrudging 3. True to fashion, Hughes cleared the boundary in the first over and set the standard for the day. The pair worked well together, stealing singles and punishing loose balls to the boundary at every opportunity. At the end of the power play, the pair had a partnership of 45.

Continuing to work hard and pushing through, in the 12th over of the game, Hughes brought up his 50 from 39 balls. Unfortunately, shortly after, Hughes was finally caught for 58 from 47 balls, including three massive 6s and two 4s. A fantastic knock from the newlywed.

The overseas superstar joined Murray at the crease, again working well to rotate the strike and keep the score ticking over. With the last 4 overs to come, the score currently sat at 110-1. With wickets in hand, the lads knew they had to press on to apply the pressure. In the attempt to do so, Murray was unfortunately bowled, finishing on 39 from 44 balls.

In came the skipper, knowing what job was needed, and he was the man to do it. The new pair pushed even harder, taking 27 runs from the last 12 balls to leave the T20 Squad in a strong position of 144-2 from their 20 overs.

A quick hydration break, and the lads took the field. Woodgate and Lee Jackson opened the bowling with the standards they are known for. In their respective 2nd and 3rd overs, both dealt blows to Preston Strikers, cleaning up the top order and leaving Preston Strikers in a precarious position of 29-4 at the end of the power play.

A good day with the bat, but unfortunately not for Murray with the ball, as the Strikers moved to 44-4 at the end of the 7th over. Atherton replaced Murray to help build the pressure and, with the power play now finished, Jay Davies was brought into the attack, with the hopes of continuing the success he's had so far in this year's T20 campaign. And that he did.

In his second over, Davies claimed 3 wickets for 0 runs, trapping two lbw and having one caught in the deep by Alex Gaughan. In his third over, Davies claimed his fourth and fifth wickets, one being bowled and the other caught in the deep by Woodgate. A phenomenal and game-changing spell, finishing with 5/6 from 3 overs.

Woodgate returned to finish his allocated over and, on the fourth ball, trapped the last batsman lbw, leaving Preston Strikers on 76 all out, 68 runs short of the target.

A superb all-round effort from the squad, ending the T20 with a resounding clean sweep.

At the end of the game, the T20 Squad was presented with the trophy for winning, as well as individual medals for each of the players. The umpires also awarded Man of the Match to the player of their choosing. The Man of the Match for the T20 Final was Jay Davies for his bowling. In his spell of 3 overs, Davies claimed 5 wickets for only 6 runs. A true game-changing spell! Well done, Jay!

T20 WINNERS!

⚫🟡 T20 FINALS DAY FIXTURES & TEAM ⚫🟡

Bank holiday Monday (31st August) sees the T20 squad play host and will be taking on Preston Strikers to see who takes home the trophy!

The lads this year have been victorious in each of their matches, with a few close games, decisive victories but above all, overwhelming resolve.

The match will commence at 2pm on Monday, so please come along and support the lads.

In case you haven't seen much, here's a run down of the team:

⚫🟡Luke Murray ⚫🟡

Luke has been a big part of the teams success in the T20 format over the 2 years. An average of 31 at a strike rate of 145 with the bat and a 17.8 average with the ball at an economy of 6.6 proves he is a man you can turn to. To top that off he is an athlete in the field which makes him an ideal 3 dimensional cricketer. A left handed opening bat, Luke will be hoping he can get the batting innings off to a good start and then can make contributions when required with ball in hand too. A dangerous cricketer for opposition teams to watch out for!

⚫🟡Ryan Hughes⚫🟡

Ryan is an opening batsman who is capable of contributing with ball in hand too. He has kept things tight with a bowling economy of 5.6 in t20s and has enjoyed an extremely successful couple of t20 campaigns with the bat scoring 695 runs in 12 innings averaging 87 at an electric strike rate of 177! Ryan is known for his quick scoring and the T20 competition has highlighted that attribute! Known to be a born match winner can Ryan put in another match winning performance on Monday!

⚫🟡Carter Woodgate⚫🟡

Our kiwi overseas has had a great T20 campaign with both bat and ball! He may not have got the wickets he would have hoped for or deserved but with an extraordinary 4.3 economy whilst often bowling 2 power play overs and 2 death overs he has made a vital impact. He has also been vital with the bat in hand and has scored 282 runs in his 6 innings with a whopping 141 average and a strike rate of 130. Any opposition would have him firmly on their watch list and we are sure Carter will have a big say in the final with either bat or ball (or hopefully both)!

⚫🟡Toby Ambrose⚫🟡

Toby, another all rounder, has proven to be a good option with ball in hand. With an average of 15 and an economy of 6.1 Toby has kept things tight whilst also taking a few wickets with him. He also showed his maturity and capability with the bat in the semi final as well scoring an important run a ball 32. It is likely he will be called upon with both bat and ball at some stage in the final and hopefully he can once again showcase some of the same skill and maturity which helped get us here.

⚫🟡David Atherton⚫🟡

The skipper has been Mr reliable across our 2 T20 campaigns and has controlled middle overs and taken wickets at key times. Dave has also had a couple of contributions with the bat when opportunity has allowed. Dave bowled a crucial 4 overs in the semi final when the game was in the balance and wrestled the momentum in our favour. A strike rate of 9.6 with the ball speaks for itself and there is a strong chance Dave will have a big say in the middle overs on Monday afternoon too!

⚫🟡Jacob Dever⚫🟡

Jacob is a keeper batsman who is another that hasn’t had loads of time out in the middle within the t20 campaign. Jacob has shown in the league format that he is capable of clearing the ropes and we are sure he will be ready to show that if given the opportunity on Monday. Jacob has contributed with the gloves taking 2 stumpings and 2 caught behinds showing his capability to get up to the stumps in the middle overs which has been a key feature of our bowling innings throughout the competition.

⚫🟡Tom Barker ⚫🟡

Tom is a technical batsman who finds himself further down the order than he would in the longer format of the game, however, he is yet to be dismissed and has contributed on a couple of occasions at the back end of innings and has scored at 100 strike rate. He has also contributed with ball in hand having taken a couple of wickets with an economy of 6.1 showing he can do a job with his medium pace bringing the keeper up to the stumps and into play when it is required. Tom is a back bone to the batting line up and can be used to sure things up if early wickets are lost whilst also being readily available with the ball if called upon!

⚫🟡Craig Mcananey⚫🟡

Craig is an all round option able to contribute with bat and ball. Again due to a thriving top order Craig has found limited opportunity with the bat but has proven his worth with the ball alone across the 2 campaigns. He has an average of 24 with an economy of 7.2 making himself a worthy spin option for the team. Craig is the type of player who can adapt to almost any role and can be introduced into a lot of scenarios and make an impact and on Monday he may well do exactly that!

⚫🟡Alex Gaughan⚫🟡

Alex is playing in his first T20 campaign this season and is an addition to the side as an aggressive middle order batsman. Due to a firing top order Alex has had limited opportunity to demonstrate the power he possesses within matches but those within the club know he is capable of hitting the ball very cleanly! He is also a big asset in the field with a very good pair of hands and good athleticism! Opportunity permitting Alex can score runs quickly which no opposition would want to be on the receiving end of.

⚫🟡Jay Davies⚫🟡

Jay has been a key part of our bowling innings,Jay is the joint leading wicket within the 2 T20 seasons and has a very tidy economy of a shade under 6. He has a bowling strike rate of 10.8 showing how threatening he has been always creating chances. Jay played a key part in our semi final victory bowling 4 very tidy overs in the middle shifting the momentum in our favour and it is very possible he can put a similar performance in for the final!

⚫🟡Lee Jackson⚫🟡

The clubs joint top wicket taker across our 2 T20 campaigns. Lee has a knack for taking wickets and operates with a healthy economy of 6.87. Lee is a versatile bowler who has bowled all throughout the innings but specializes with the new ball and has bowled a lot of power play making his economy even more impressive. Could Monday be another occasion for Lee to assert himself with new ball in hand?

⚫🟡WEEKEND RESULTS AND MAN OF THE MATCH⚫🟡

The 1st X1 travelled to Leyland. The Leyland captain won the toss and elected to bat on a wicket where water had made its way under the covers on a length at one end. It looked to be a good toss to lose as Woodgate struck twice in the first over reducing the home side to 1-2 after the first. 4 overs later Woodgate struck again and the home team seemed in trouble at 13/3. The rebuild came and Leyland capitalized on what bad balls they received in what was for the most part a good opening spell from Woodgate and Murray. Skipper Atherton and Bradley Jones came into the attack to try and break the growing 4th wicket partnership but were unable to do so although there were numerous opportunities with a few big LBW appeals, a caught behind not given and a couple of drop catches off the bowling of Atherton. It ended up being damage limitation for Burscough with the home side finishing 240-7 after their 45 overs with 4 wickets to Woodgate, 2 for Murray and 1 for Hughes with skipper Atherton being the most economical going at 3 an over.

The chase was always going to be a tough one on a slightly unpredictable wicket and the home side struck early as Atherton top edged a back of a length delivery to make the score 9-1 early. Woodgate and other opener Hughes built a decent partnership bringing up the 50 partnership with some nice boundaries scored to keep Burscough in the game until Hughes edged a wider delivery on 31 which was smartly taken by the wicket keeper. Woodgate fell a couple of overs later for 25 which meant the game was firmly in the home teams favour. Bradley Jones and Murray made 17 and 14 respectively and wickets continued to fall throughout the remainder of the innings. Burscough eventually fell to 116 all out in the 39th over making Leyland the deserved winners on the day.

Saturday saw the 2nd XI at home against Vernon Carus CC 4th XI. Winning the toss, Vernon Carus elected to bat first.

Opening the attack for the 2nd XI were Lee Jackson and Liam Dever. Jackson opened the bowling and, with his 4th ball, dealt the first blow, dismissing the opener caught behind. Dever followed suit, bowling the number 2 batsman. He then struck again in his next over, dismissing the number 3 batsman to leave Vernon Carus in a precarious position of 6-3 from only 3.3 overs. The pair bowled a perfect line and length, restricting any opportunities for the batsmen to score. In the 8th and 9th overs of the innings, Jackson and Dever struck again. Burscough seemed to be on top and in control of the game at this point, with Vernon Carus unable to find a way to settle in and score. Jackson's final wicket was a superb caught and bowled, jumping vertically to claim his 3rd wicket. He later finished his 10 overs for only 17 runs, with a phenomenal economy rate of 1.70. Aaron Craven and Peter Cox replaced the opening bowlers, which Vernon Carus thought would provide a break in the pressure. However, that was not the case. Peter Cox followed on from Dever's first spell, applying pressure with his line and length, whilst Craven created opportunities that resulted in him claiming 2 wickets for only 14 runs from his 10 overs. Dever's second spell followed suit from his first, proving to be problematic for the remaining batsmen. Claiming the final wicket meant that Dever finished with figures of 5-26 from 9.4 overs, leaving Vernon Carus 77 all out from 39.4 overs. A true showcase of the 2nd XI bowling attack.

After tea, Aaron Craven and Connor Marshall took to the crease. Unfortunately, Craven was bowled in the second over, showing Vernon Carus a small glimpse of victory. Captain Anthony Dever joined Marshall at the crease, where the pair slowly rotated the strike and chipped away at the required 78 runs. Punchy blows from the pair saw any loose balls punished to the boundary. Dever was later bowled in the 19th over, leaving the 2s at 66-2. Young Jaiden Walsh joined Marshall (44*) at the crease. A cheeky drop-and-run single and clever running from Walsh helped Marshall reach his 50*. Walsh struck the final blow with a lovely push over cover and strong running to complete the final 4 runs required. A fantastic effort and well batted, Connor!

This means that the 2nd XI take a further 12 points and now sit in 4th place, only 3 points behind 2nd.

⚫🟡MAN OF THE MATCH REPORTS ⚫🟡

This week's Man of the Match for the 2nd XI is none other than Liam Dever. Liam showcased his talents with the ball, claiming 5 wickets against Vernon Carus CC from his 9.4 overs.
A true show of why he is the go-to man to open the bowling, especially for someone so young. A true talent!

⚫🟡1st XI⚫🟡
The 1s played host to Tarleton CC at School Lane on Saturday, with Tarleton winning the toss and electing to bat first on yet another dry batting track that appeared to favour the batsmen. Opening the bowling saw the usual pair of Carter Woodgate and Luke Murray. The pair started with great control, with early signs that a wicket would come. The break through came in the 6th over with Murray taking the edge of one of the opening batsman to Jacob Dever behind the stumps. Woodgate followed in the next over to see off the remaining opener, leaving Tarleton in a precarious position at 15-2 from 7 overs. A steady partnership from the middle order saw the score board ticking over for 12 overs. The next wicket fell to a change in bowling, Jay Davies, and some wonderful fielding by Toby Ambrose to run out the next batsman. Through changing his pace, Davies controlled and frustrated the batsman causing a further 2 wickets to fall to leave Tarleton yet again in a dangerous position at only 78-5. Another change in bowling further showed that the Bursocugh bowlers had control of the flow of the game in restricting the batsman to only a few runs per over. Ambrose saw the end to the troubling batsman with the help of captain David Atherton applying the pressure from the other end. Woodgate & Murray returned for the last 4 overs, picking up one final wicket to leave the visitors at a respectably fought for score of 157/7 from their 45 overs.

After teas, the 1s required a modest 3.51 runs per over. Starting off was Atherton and Ryan Hughes. The pair seemed to be in their stride scoring 23 from the first 5 overs, however Atherton was bowled for 12 giving Tarleton a glimpse of hope. However, with Woodgate now at the crease, the new pair quickly quietened the field by capitilasing on loose balls and stealing ones and twos to keep ticking over on the scoreboard. The pair formed a partnership of over 50 runs, before Hughes was unfortunately caught for 45 from 57 balls. Ambrose joined Woodgate for a short spell rotating the strike. Woodgate was unfortunately caught on 23, leaving the 1s 84-3. Murray was next up, and with Ambrose in similar fashion helped to rotate the strike and punish any bad balls. Murray and Ambrose formed a steady partnership of 34 before Ambrose again was caught out for 27. Contributions from Barker and Dever helped to push the total along to 136-6. Craig McAnaney joined Murray at the crease in the hopes of finishing the game, and that they did. With some big hitting, McAnaney finishing 10 of 13, including one 4 and one 6, with Murray finishing the game with a superb 4 off the 38.1 over.

This means that the 1s take home 11 points and taking 4th place in the division. Next week, the 1s will travel to Fox Lane to take on Leyland CC 2nd XI.

⚫🟡2nd XI⚫🟡

On Saturday, the 2s travelled to Mossom Lane in sunny Blackpool to take on Blackpool CC 4th XI. Blackpool won the toss, and elected to bat first. Opening the bowling was Phil Bradley-Jones and Peter Cox. Starting well, Bradley-Jones gave early hopes, trapping one of the openers LBW. Unfortuntaely, the new batsman took advantage of loose bowling scoring early boundaries. A change in bowling, saw hero Neil Disley come into the attack. Disley in his 9 overs, took 3 wickets and only gave up 25 runs. A fantastic bowling spell. Aaron Craven joined the spin attack, helping to apply pressure during the middle overs. Cox returned for a second spell picking up 2 wickets for his efforts with the ball helping to apply pressure to the batting side. Youngster Jaiden Walsh and Vice Captain James Bevan both had a fantastic set of overs. Bevan applied late pressure, finishing 0-11 from his 4 overs including one maiden. However, Walsh had a phenominal 6 overs, claiming 2 wickets for 16 runs, also including one maiden. A true show of class from the pair. Blackpool finished 143/9 from their 40 over.

Opening the batting saw Craven and Bradley-Jones take to the crease. The pair formed a seemingly strong partnership, working to put away bad balls and rotate the strike, before Bradley-Jones was caught for only 8 runs. Justin Dalrymple joined Craven, where the pair seemed to capitialise each with a boundary each over. Unfortunately, the pair were both dismissed in the 12 over, Craven 13 from 36, and Dalrymple 11 from 16. Cox joined captain Anthony Dever at the crease with the hopes of settling the ship and breaking the flow of Blackpool’s bowling attack. The pair formed a well needed partnership of 29 before Dever was stumped. A short flurry of partnerships saw the 2s reach 99-8. Young Harrison Bevan and and Jaiden Walsh worked hard as a pair, stealing singles and refusing to give up their wickets without a fight. Harrison was unfortunately run out, and Walsh later stumped trying to push through to the final total. A fantatic effort from the youngsters at the end.

The 2s unfortunately were all out for 122, 21 runs short of the final total. A lot of positives to be taken, a great team effort. The 2s now sit in 5th place, however with only 11 points behind second, they are still with in chance of making promotion. Next week, they play host to Vernon Carus 4th XI.

⚫🟡Sunday - T20⚫🟡
An early start for the T20 squad, leaving School Lane at 8am to make the journey to Shirehead & Forton CC. After having to sort umpires for the match, Bursocugh eventually won the toss and elected to bat first. Luke Murray and Ryan Hughes opened the batting on what seemed to be a batsmans wicket with a small boundary to one side. Unfortunately, Murray was dismissed in the second over. Carter Woodgate joined Hughes at the crease, where to pair accelerated to nearly 8 an over before Hughes was unfortunately bowled for 26 from 15 balls, including five 4s. Toby Ambrose joined Woodgate (18*) at the crease. The new pair once again capitalised on the small boundary and punishing anything loose to the boundary. The T20 squad reached 64-2 from 10 overs. From this point, the pair accelerated again to 132-3 where Ambrose was caught by a stunning one handed flying grab for 32 from 33 balls. A superb knock from Woodgate, finishing 70 from 58 balls, including seven 4s and one 6. Contributions from Atherton (2), McAnaney (5*) and Dever (3*) left the squad 144/5 from 20 overs.

Shireshead & Forton needed 7.25 per over from the get go, a challenge that the Bursocugh lads felt was in their capability to refuse. Shireshead started strong, 24 from 2.3 overs before Lee Jackson dealt the first blow with a run out from Atherton. Pace on the ball seemed to allow the batsman unfortunate luck with leading edges escaping for runs. To break the flow, Captain Atherton and Jay Davies came on to stent the flow of runs. In successive overs, the pair both took a wicket to leave Shireshead 55-3 in the 9th over. Controlled bowling from the pair helped to extend the run rate, and both again taking wickets, both being caught comfortably by Murray. With 5 overs remaining, Shireshead and Forton needed 53 runs. Murray finished his spell, with very respectable figures of 0-22/4. This left Jackson and Woodgate to refuse the batsman any opportunities to take the victory. In the last two overs, the pair took a further 3 wickets for only 11 runs leaving Shireshead 118/8 from their 20 overs.

With this, it means that the T20 squad is through to the T20 Cup Final, which will be held at Bursocugh Cricket Club on the Monday 31st August, with the time TBC.

Man of the Match for the 1s this week is Luke Murray for his all around performance. With bat, Luke scored 32 not out from 39 deliveries, including three 4s. With the ball, Luke had a superb economy of 3.64, finishing his 11 over spell 1/40.

This weeks Man of the Match for the 2nd XI was a tough decision. A honourable captains mention for young Jaiden Walsh for his superb all around performance, as well and Neil Disley with the ball. However this weeks man of the match is Peter Cox. From his combined spells of 7 overs, Pete took 2 wickets for only 29 runs. He also scored a very needed 20 from 32 balls, including three 4s.

Sundays performance was a well fought team effort, however this weeks T20 man of the Match is Carter Woodgate. With the bat, he set the tone scoring 70 from 58 balls, including seven 4s and one 6. A superb strike rate of 120.69. With the ball, Woody showed his class restricting the batsmen and in his 4 overs, taking 1 wicket for only 14 runs.
