Founder, principal teacher and the face behind Daddy Shark Swim School, Neil has helped thousands of children build confidence in the water and fall in love with swimming.

In 2024, his dedication was recognised with Swim England's Silver Swim Teacher Award, celebrating his commitment to helping swimmers of all ages and abilities thrive.

From competitive swimming and scuba diving to teaching babies, toddlers and adults, water has always been a huge part of Neil's life. But what really sets him apart is his ability to connect with children and make every lesson fun, positive and confidence-building.

Due to popular demand, we've opened up some brand new Stage 1 spaces at our warm private pool in Ormskirk.

New lesson times:
💙 Tuesday – 4.00pm
💙 Wednesday – 4.30pm
💙 Thursday – 4.00pm
💙 Sunday – 11.00am
💙 Sunday – 1.30pm

These lessons are for new swimmers, age 4+.

Lessons take place in our warm private pool at Ormskirk C of E Primary School. With just four children per class and our friendly teachers in the water, your child will receive plenty of individual support as they build confidence and learn essential swimming skills. 🤗

These lessons are already starting to fill up, and with very limited availability in our other Stage 1 classes, we recommend securing your child's space today.

Stage 2 swimming 🦈💦

This is where it really starts to come together.

From 5m… to 10m
From basic movement… to proper technique

Small groups (4–6 per class) with the teacher in the water for support.

Swimmers will:
✔️ Build stronger kicks
✔️ Improve push & glide
✔️ Swim 10m front & back (no aids)
✔️ Be introduced to all 4 strokes

What colour is your child's swimwear this summer?

💡 Bright colours are best.

White, blue and grey swimwear can be hard to spot underwater. Choose bright colours like pink, yellow, orange or green to help keep children visible in and around the water and remember to supervise closely at all times.

Meet Laura 🦈

Laura joined Daddy Shark Swim School in 2025, turning her passion for swimming and helping children into a brand-new career.

A Swim England Level 2 Swim Teacher, Laura brings a calm, patient and encouraging approach to every lesson. With previous experience as a teaching assistant and as a mum of two, she understands how important it is for children to feel supported as they learn and grow.

Whether it's building water confidence, learning a new skill or celebrating a milestone, Laura loves helping swimmers achieve things they never thought possible.

We're delighted to have Laura as part of the Daddy Shark family. 💙
