WHAT A GAME! 😰🔥

Congratulations to the boys today — what a fantastic team effort!

A superb attitude from the whole team. We went behind early, then conceded two quick goals in the second half to find ourselves behind again, but the response was brilliant.

Most of our attacks looked threatening, and we never stopped believing we could get back into the game.

There were some standout performances today. Dom was fantastic at the back, while Olly was amazing in the first half.

But the biggest positive was how the whole team worked for each other all over the pitch. It was a real team performance and an absolute pleasure to watch.

He was hungry, determined and an absolute menace in the second half. His pace and drive were a constant threat, and he never stopped looking for the next opportunity.

A tough day for our lads , we battled hard with limited resources. and never gave up . Jacob scored after a brilliant 6 man move. With Zac adding later 👍MOTM has to go to the team whom battled consistently and never gave in.

Captain Harry was superb at RB, top performance by H 👏👏 he chose JC as his MOTM strength determination and commitment showed JC was on typical top level form against a range of tricky players 👏👏awesome as always JC 👍.

These lads are amazing playing up a year and we’re fully behind them win lose or draw . The Ossy Bulls 👊

Oswaldtwistle Juniors U8's Blues

Ossy Juniors played Fulledge Colts at Prairie this morning. It was a great game of end to end football and enjoyable watch throughout.

All the Ossy lads were on it today and produced a brilliant first half display to get a strong foothold in the game. They worked together as a team, passing the ball to each other confidently and scoring some great goals in the process. Ralph opened the scoring before Keaton returned to the scoresheet with a first half hattrick. The lads defended from the front, finished their chances well and were decisive in defence when it really mattered. The hard work they have put in at training is really starting to pay off now and their first touch and accurate passing has developed loads over the last few months. As coaches we've been urging them to pass more to each other and they did that all themselves today without much coach input.

In the second half the lads were able to navigate a spirited fightback to put the game to bed with Ralph scoring again before Jack slotted home a wonderful hattrick!

Coaches Simon, Ash and Gaz were unanimous in awarding Jack POTM particularly for his first half masterclass in defence, confidently receiving the ball, striding out with it and then picking the right pass. He also scored an impressive second half hattrick which also saw him bag the Opposition POTM.

That's now 3 great performances this season from the Ossy U8's and we're all really proud of how they are developing individually and as a team.

Our U14s Blues were held to a draw today.
Despite starting with 10 players, our lads did well to be level at half time.
We dominated the 2nd half but couldn't find the winner.
Well done to Oscar who won POTM 🏆

Fulledge blues v ossy jnr red u9

A close game in heavy rain saw ossy take the lead after Rocco and Henry combined for Jimmy to slot home. Teddy pulled off some brilliant saves and looked to play into his midfield. Alfred was a giant at the back, sweeping up for his team. Henry was a constant threat and added another goal with a great finish from a tight angle. Hendrix used his passing skills to split the defence for Oscar to chip past the keeper with a lovely finish. Player of the match went to Captain Lincoln, who never stopped running, tackling and attacking, a machine 💪

A tough pre-season meant we did not train or play any games due to unavailablity.. low numbers saw an inevitable rusty start to the game for our Sunday Under 14s, going behind after 5 minutes and looking like more would follow, they tightened things up and managed to equalise within 15 minutes. They then started to gel and a few quick goals put the opposition on the back foot.. more would follow which ended up being a comprehensive win.

The player of the match was tough to give with every player having a very good game. Player of the match goes to two new signings Luca S and Jacob H who worked tirelessly and contributed to 7 goals between them.

It was a great win for our U16 Lionesses this morning. Everyone putting in a great performance. Darcie commanding her area in goal and her defence. Midfield all solid at closing down the opposition. Strikers were on fire today between them.

Coaches POTM was Phoebe. A strong addition to the team, she showed great play today to grab herself a hat trick. Well done Phoebe.
