🔥 UNDER TENS TAKEOVER AT THE WHAM!

Our U10s stepped out in style as flag bearers for Accrington Stanley on Saturday — lining the tunnel, repping the black-and‑white, and giving the players the kind of welcome only Oswaldtwistle St Mary's Football Club kids can deliver.

⚽ PRE‑MATCH FANZONE FUN

Before all the action, the squad took over the Fanzone — games, laughs, and a full dose of Stanley matchday buzz.
And of course… a quick catch‑up with Stanley maestro Shaun Whalley. Class act. The kids were buzzing.

Then at half‑time?
💥 Mini‑match madness.
The lads lit up the pitch with a cracking little showcase — tackles flying in, smiles everywhere, parents losing their voices… proper memories made.

🔥 UNDER 10 SUNDAYS – MATCH LAST WEEK RECAP ⚽

💥 Match Summary
From the very first whistle, the lads came out playing with real intent. The passing was crisp, the movement sharp, and the confidence oozing. We broke their defence time and time again, carving out chances and controlling the tempo.

Our opener came from a set‑piece masterclass — a pinpoint cross and a brilliant finish. The second followed soon after with a superb team goal built from patient passing and clever movement. At the back, the boys were solid, shutting down attacks and giving the opposition nothing.

The second half?
More of the same — business‑mode football. Slick passing, relentless pressure, and more top‑quality team goals. Late on, the opposition pushed, but our keeper stood tall with two excellent saves to secure the clean sheet.

Both coaches were buzzing with the performance — great football, great attitude, great teamwork.

⚽OSWALDTWISTLE ST MARY'S U12 GIRLS⚽

Not the result we wanted this weekend, falling to a 6-1 defeat, but what a performance from these girls! 👏🔥

With no substitutes available, it was always going to be a tough afternoon, yet every single player gave absolutely everything from the first whistle to the last. In the end, it came down to energy levels, but the determination, effort and attitude shown by the team never dropped for a second. 💪⚽

There were some fantastic passages of football throughout the game and the girls can be incredibly proud of how they competed. Our goal came courtesy of Elsie, who unleashed an absolute rocket from long range! 🚀⚽ We also kept their goalkeeper busy, forcing her into 3 or 4 excellent saves.

A special mention goes to Darcie, who pulled off some brilliant saves and continues to show huge improvement in her distribution, something she has been working so hard on in training. 👏🧤

Leah was immense at the back, challenging for everything, putting in some strong tackles and showing great quality when playing the ball forward. A top performance! 👏

Full‑time scenes from the U9s this weekend — and what a shift the lads put in.

🔥 Great energy, great goals, great drama. Proper St Mary’s football.

Mason came out flying in that first half — three goals, non‑stop running, and even bagged himself a mid‑game 🏅 before shooting off to a birthday party like an absolute baller.
Axl, Brogan and Travis all got themselves on the scoresheet too — clinical finishing across the squad.

Between the sticks, Reggie was on a different planet ⭐
Some outrageous saves, huge decisions, and that spell at 6–5 where they had about five corners in two minutes… he handled it like a keeper twice his age.

Captain Ronnie led from the front 💪 — organising, encouraging, and keeping the boys switched on right to the final whistle.

Proud of every single one of them. This group is cooking something special — and this season is going to be very exciting.

U12 GIRLS – OPENING WEEKEND BACK IN ACTION!

Brilliant to see the girls back out there, playing and smiling after 8 weeks without a game. They put together some lovely football, but it was one of those days where every mistake got punished and it finished 4–1.

No pressure from us — first game back, rust to shake off, and they’ll settle over the next few fixtures. When we got hold of the ball, the girls transitioned really well, and we know exactly what to sharpen in training.

Our goal came from Scarlett, linking superbly with Sofia before a tidy finish. Great to get off the mark straight away.

Huge appreciation to parents for keeping the support positive. Mistakes will happen — that’s football — and this group learns fast.

They’re a fantastic group to coach and we’re excited to watch them develop this season. 👍
