🏆 Celebrating Maddie Moore our August 2026 Oswestry & District Mike Harris Community Award winner! 👏
Bringing people together, championing small businesses and helping others feel valued Maddie puts community at the heart of everything she does. 💚
As the founder of Oswestry Makers Market, Maddie has created much more than a place to shop. She has built an affordable, welcoming space where independent makers, artists and small businesses can grow, share ideas and form lasting friendships. Through trader meetups, resources and encouragement, she also helps new makers take those all-important first steps.
From volunteering at Oswestry Memorial Hall to becoming a trustee, Maddie continues to shine a light on the groups, events and people who make our town special.
Alongside a fellow artist, she has also developed Sketch for Health a creative wellbeing project designed to reduce isolation and support mental wellbeing through art, welcoming people of every ability and experience. 🎨
Her community fundraising includes supporting Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), bringing businesses, volunteers and residents together with the goal of funding a cardiac screening day in 2027. ❤️
Living with M.E. and fibromyalgia brings daily challenges, and Maddie has found ways to channel her creativity and energy into helping others feel connected, supported and included.
Maddie’s work shows how much kindness, collaboration and a willingness to help can mean to a community.
