Joshua Giddings won the Martin House Open Otley GP by the narrowest of margins, attacking on the final lap and holding off Ollie Wood in the drag to the line.

Jess Roberts went long to win the Santini Women’s Otley GP, attacking from a two-rider move with Anna Morris and holding off the bunch.

Morris took second, Maddie Cooper third.

The Otley Town Centre Races return tomorrow, July 1, bringing top-class cycle racing right into the heart of town.

Now in its 43rd year, this Otley classic has seen past winners including Tom Pidcock, Lizzie Deignan, Mark Cavendish, Adam Blythe and Jonny Clay.

The races will be proclaimed open by Otley Bellman Terry Ford and the town mayor, with Otley Cycle Club supporting the event as race HQ, Race Makers and sponsor of the under-16 girls’ Super Prestige race.

There’ll also be plenty of local food and drink around the circuit, so why not make an evening of it?

The “crit world champs” hosts round four of the Rapha Super-League and round two of the National Circuit Series, with Megan Barker and Matt Bostock set to race in the national champion’s bands.

Elite racing returns to the heart of town as Round 2 of the British Cycling Lloyds National Circuit Series hits Otley. Expect 55 minutes of full‑gas action from the UK’s strongest women’s teams and rising talent. Santini’s sponsorship brings real pedigree from the Italian brand partnered with Trek Factory Racing plus local legend and race organiser Lizzie Deignan.

Last year’s winner Robyn Clay lit up the circuit with a blistering sprint. Since then she’s stepped up to the WorldTour with PICNIC PostNL and recently completed her first Giro d’Italia Donne 🩷
