The cyclocross season is well under way, Thomas Nabb taking the junior win at round 3 of the Yorkshire Cyclocross series over in Skipton, also managing to finish 4th overall on the hilly course. A great ride ahead of the first National this weekend at Derby! Great photos as always 📸

Further afield Zack travelled to Sweden for Stockholm Cyclocross Weekend, a double weekend of racing on new technical courses. Illness in the run up didn’t stop Zack giving it his all and gaining some amazing experience, keep it up Zack!! (Shout out to Graham for the epic drive to and from Sweden!!!!)

Closer to home Daniel, Patrick and Emily were down at Jackson Bridge for another HC. Another good climb with some fast times coming in, Daniel finishing 3rd junior in 4:41 and 8th overall, Patrick 5:04 and 5th junior and Emily 4th woman at 6:44. To top it off they finished 2nd in the team prize!! Patrick goes again this weekend at Nick o Pendle to round his HC season off, Daniel and Emily both riding the National at the end of the month so good luck all!

OCC 2 stage hill climb
Guise Cliffe in the morning, not much wind about made for some fast times, Daniel setting the fastest time out of the Otley lot and 4th overall, Patrick, Jasper, Thomas Smith and the others not far behind.
Stage 2 up Norwood Edge again saw some fast times, Daniel taking P2 on this climb only 7s behind Andy Cunningham and keeping him 4th overall, Patrick and Jasper also putting in stellar times to keep 5th and 6th overall.

Great efforts by the race team all round and putting on an amazing display of the blue jersey, Kev and Emily also winning prizes alongside Daniel for fastest Vet40, 3rd woman and 1st junior respectively, Patrick and Thomas Smith not far behind in that competition too.

Otley CC 2 stage hill climb will be taking place on October 3rd, morning stage over at Guisecliff out of Pateley Bridge and afternoon stage up Norwood Edge.

Cragg Vale HC, the first hill climb of the season for some of our riders. The 5 mile long climb saw Daniel, Emily and new RT rider Patrick take pb’s and podium places.
Only 1.3s separated Daniel and Patrick in the end with respective times of 16:55.6 and 16:56.9, Daniel taking the 1st junior prize and Patrick taking a huge pb! Amazing efforts by both and hats off to Daniel competing after a week of illness.
Emily’s first HC in almost 2 years finishing 3rd female overall and only 5 seconds off 2nd place! They all go again this weekend at Stocks Lane HC.

As we come to the end of the road season our riders have been getting their last few races in. At JToW Aden, Harry and Daniel battled their way through 4 stages over 3 days, the first stage started off in awful conditions Daniel puncturing and losing a lot of time. The race splitting up on the last lap and Aden finishing just behind the first group and Harry the second. TT in the afternoon had better conditions with Aden putting in the best OCC time with Harry and Daniel closely matched not far behind.
Second day Daniel unfortunately getting dropped on the hilly terrain but Harry and Aden sticking in there till a split on the final climb but both riders finishing strongly. The third day and final stage was fast with short tough climbs, the bunch splitting on the last climb Harry coming across the line just behind the main bunch followed closely by Aden and Daniel. Aden and Harry finishing 19th and 21st on GC respectively after some hard days of racing, well done!!

Connor continuing with grasstrack racing over the summer coming away with some solid results in multiple different events, great riding Connor 🙌

Zack’s cyclocross season has begun with a bang, 2nd place at round 1 of CXNE, Zack making his way through the bunch the first few laps and holding a consistent pace throughout managing to drop the rider in 3rd to finish with a solid 2nd spot, great start Zack 💪.

Round 3 of NERRL, coming into the race the team was tied for first with Moonglu in the team classification but with some amazing efforts all round our riders secured a team win. An amazing efforts from all riders who contributed to this, well done 🙌.

On the day, Kev unfortunately got distanced early on but never gave in, showing pure determination! Thomas managed to bridge across to the break but unfortunately this was caught with 1.5 laps to go. Another move went up the road, Zack managing to position Ed and Thomas amazingly into the climb with it splitting up again with Ed and Thomas in the front group. Ed picking up 6th in the sprint and Thomas 10th in the end, Ed also coming away with 1st junior. An amazing race for our riders and for some rounding out their season, well done!
