π₯ Training in the Heat? Hereβs Your Gym Survival Guide πͺβοΈ
Hot weather can make workouts feel twice as hard, so donβt ignore what your body is telling you. Here are some simple ways to train smarter when temperatures rise:
π§ Hydrate before, during & after
If youβre already thirsty, youβre playing catch-up. Sip water throughout the day - not just during your session.
π§ Replace electrolytes
Sweating more = losing more salts. Consider electrolytes if youβre training hard or sweating heavily.
ποΈ Lower the ego, not the effort
Heat can affect performance. Itβs okay to reduce weight, reps or intensity and focus on quality movement.
π§ Dress for the weather
Light, breathable clothing helps your body cool down more efficiently.
β° Train at cooler times if possible
Early mornings or evenings can make a huge difference.
π¨ Know the warning signs
Dizziness, headache, nausea, unusual fatigue or chills are signs to stop and cool down.
Remember: consistency beats smashing one session and feeling awful after. Train smart, recover well, and keep moving safely this summer πβοΈ
