What a day in Derby, Evan 'Almighty' picked to box for Yorkshire v Derbyshire in his first fight, he did not disappoint, giving his opponent 2 head counts and stopping him in the 3d round.
Evan summed up the thunder and lighting
in both hands, great result for an 11 year old especially it been his first bout. The Yorkshire squad will be calling him up again soon. 🥊🥊🥊

On hearing of this terrible tragedy.
I have been informed that Andra boy moulden has passed away.
I am deeply saddened by the passing of one of my best schoolboy boxers 'boy moulden'
I have fond memories of young 'boy' and all the other lads
in the gym at that time.
Qais Ashfaq, Hisan Yaqoub, Adil Anwar , the Jones brothers,
Adnan khan and Daven Chopra,
all of them made up for a great team of boxers, winning
Schoolboy, youths and boys club and senior titles.
A special team of kids.
I remember 'boys' first day in the gym, this little lad with a cheeky face and a long ponytail.
He had the heart of a lion and “boy“ he could fight.
He was a little rascal with a cheeky smile. He soon became part of a team of lads that put bateson’s amateur boxing club on the map. I will never forget how proud 'boy' and the lads made me feel.
'Boy' was one of four young lads from Bateson to reach the national schoolboy finals in one year, giving the club a great reputation.
I will never forget these lads. They will always be “Smokeys boyz”
'Boy moulden' has a special place on the wall in the Bateson boxing gym. He will always be a part of the team.
I send my condolences to the moulden family, God bless and keep you strong at this difficult time.
