It was a fantastic day filled with great golf, plenty of smiles and wonderful company. A huge thank you to our Ladies Captain, Bev Proctor, for hosting such a special occasion, and to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a success.

A fantastic achievement for Otley Golf Club's ladies! 🏆

Congratulations to Rosemary Edwards, Sue Snow, Melinda Sprake and Julia Hicks, who won the Harrogate Union Bronze Division Championship at Knaresborough on Monday.

This remarkable victory makes it three consecutive years that the team has claimed the championship – a wonderful testament to their consistency, skill and teamwork.

There was even more success for Otley, with Rosemary Edwards also taking home the award for the best nett score in her division.

We had some work being carried out on one of our greenkeepers' sheds recently and were lucky enough to catch a quick glimpse of some very special visitors.

A family of beautiful barn owls has made a nest in the purpose-built owl box installed by our fantastic Greens Team. It’s wonderful to see the box being used and playing a small part in supporting our local wildlife.

We managed to take a quick photo before leaving them in peace to continue raising their young.

It's a lovely reminder that Otley Golf Club is home to more than just great golf. We feel incredibly privileged to share our course with these magnificent birds and look forward to watching them thrive from a respectful distance.

Today is our Women’s Captain’s Day here at Otley Golf Club! ☀️⛳

Our Women’s Captain, Beverley Proctor, said:
"I am so looking forward to celebrating the Women’s Captain’s Day today here at Otley. The forecast is looking really hot – let’s just hope the golf is! I would like to wish all players the very best of luck and hope they enjoy the day as much as I will."

Beverley has been a fantastic ambassador for the club throughout her captaincy, bringing enthusiasm, dedication and a warm welcome to members and visitors alike. Her hard work and commitment have been greatly appreciated, and today is a well-deserved celebration of her year as Captain.

Today is our Men's Captain, Paul Mitchell's Captain's Day at Otley Golf Club ! ⛳

We hope Paul has a fantastic day and enjoys every moment of what promises to be a great occasion.

Paul is doing a superb job as Men's Captain, showing great dedication, enthusiasm and support for the club throughout his captaincy. We would like to thank him for all his hard work and wish him a brilliant Captain's Day.

⛳️ Festival of Golf 2026 ⛳️

Our Festival of Golf is in full swing at Otley Golf Club and what a fantastic day it's been so far! The weather is glorious, the course is in amazing condition, and it's great to see so many people enjoying themselves.

A huge thank you to all of our organisers, volunteers and everyone who has helped make the day such a success.

We're also incredibly grateful to JCT600 SEAT Menston for sponsoring our 15th hole, giving players the exciting chance to win a car! 🚗

A massive thank you as well to the Children's Heart Surgery Fund, with all donations from today's event going towards this fantastic cause. Your support is greatly appreciated.

And the fun doesn't stop there! We have a fantastic evening planned in the clubhouse tonight, and we hope everyone attending has a brilliant time.
