Lowesmistro is in the house …

We are delighted to announce the signing of Joe Lowes at Old Otliensians, as he begins an exciting new chapter of his rugby career at Chaffers Field.

As a former seven-year captain of Ilkley RUFC with experience across both codes of the game, Joe brings a wealth of knowledge, toughness, and leadership to the squad. As a hard-hitting back row, he will add real quality and composure to the group as we prepare for the start of our Counties 1 Yorkshire campaign.

After a 10-month spell on the sidelines through injury, we’re excited to see Joe return to full fitness, attack pre-season at full tilt, and make a big impact when he takes to the field ❤️

Our league lineup for the 26/27 season is set.

We can’t wait to get started 💙🤍

Start your bank holiday weekend right tomorrow and head down to the club to enjoy an evening of social rugby against our friends travelling from Strathaven RFC in Scotland.

It’s 7s season… ☀️🏉

That time of year has come around again, and we’re excited to announce the return of the Ensians Summer T&P Competition!

Whether you want to play all day, jump in for a few matches, or just have a run around for 5 minutes, everyone is welcome. And if playing isn’t for you, come down and enjoy the atmosphere — the bar will be open, the BBQ will be fired up (always a crowd favourite), and there’ll even be a bouncy castle for the little ones, making it a brilliant family day out ☺️

This has always been a fantastic event to be part of, with some great rugby on show and teams travelling from across the local area to compete.

If you’re interested in entering a team, please get in touch with one of the two contacts on the poster as soon as possible.

We’re looking forward to seeing plenty of new and familiar faces down there to support the so-called “athletes” taking to the field ❤️

What a way to finish the season… ❤️

After a clunky start, the lads found their rhythm and ran in tries from all over the park, putting on an absolute show for the travelling support in the final fixture of the season. Harrogate’s wide pitch suited the backs perfectly, and they made full use of the space with some silky attacking rugby out wide.

A huge congratulations to Harry Gillson on a deserved Man of the Match performance, putting his body on the line all game and leading with some ruthless defence 🏆

This win sees the club win the Yorkshire silver trophy for the 4th time, and the first club to successfully retain it 2 years in a row 👍🏻

This performance showed exactly what this squad is capable of and proves the lads will be ready for the challenge of Counties 1 Yorkshire next season. We’ll be back bigger, better and stronger when the time comes.

Finally, thank you to everyone who travelled to support us. Your backing has been immense all season, home and away. We look forward to seeing you all at the club dinner so we can formally celebrate and reflect on what has been a hugely successful season for the club ❤️

And so, our season draws to a close.

We lifted the Silver Trophy yesterday after an incredible game in the cup final against Northallerton RUFC, another bit of silverware for the lads!

Here’s your squad for the final game of the 25/26 season, the Yorkshire Silver Trophy Final against Northallerton.

A reminder that it’s an earlier 12:00pm kick off at Harrogate RUFC.

We can’t wait to see this incredibly strong 22 man squad give everything one last time and hopefully bring home another piece of silverware to cap off a fantastic season.

The clubhouse will be open afterwards down at Chaffers Field, and we’d love to see as many of you there as possible as we come together to round off the season as a club.
