JW Dance

We are a passionate Devon based dance school with a friendly, inclusive ethos. I am passionate and dedicated about sharing my love of dance.

We train dancers for fitness, enjoyment, exams and competitions with increased self-confidence and high levels of technique being the core of each class. From 2002 my performance career took me around the world. I had professional contracts with The Extravaganza Show team, MV Jules Verne and Roberts Brothers Circus to name a few. I moved to the the South West in 2008 and completed my teacher training certificates under the prestigious Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. Having completed the Level 6 Diploma in Dance Pedagogy and gained QTLS, I am fully certified to teach dance at all levels. I also have my British Gymnastic coaching certificate and I am a qualified Mental Health First Aider. Whether your focus is technique, exams, flexibility, performance skills or pure fun, JWDance is the school for you. A jam packed Saturday to finish our first week back! 🙌

The cutest pre-school ballet class ever, followed by confident new school starters in their beginners tap session, and the awarding of exam certificates for some of our fabulous older students.

We are so lucky that when Miss Burrow comes home for her “holidays” she jumps straight back into the JW Dance teaching team!

8 competition solos prepped, planned and taught this week! 🥰

We are so grateful to have her creative talents, and technical expertise, thank you louise_zoe

Also, a huge thank you to Isla, Olivia, Pippa & Skylar who entertained the Friendship Group on Tuesday. Through Ottery Help Scheme, the Friendship Group get together once a month for tea, cake & a natter! What a lovely occasion to be a part of, we look forward to visiting again soon! 💙

We finished the academic year with 2 ISTD tap and modern exam sessions and 1 RAD ballet session! Phew! 🙌

Incredible work from our exam dancers, and syllabus teachers, we have received AMAZING results! 🥰
