Successive 9-0 victories for Ottery St Mary WFC.⚽️⚽️⚽️

It means two wins out of two, eighteen goals for and none against. 🥅🥅

The latest win against Exmouth Riptide brought these comments from manager Dan Carthew:

“Back‑to‑back 9-0 wins to start the season... outstanding football, relentless energy, and the squad is playing with real confidence and togetherness.

The standards were high again today: sharp pressing, brave on the ball, clinical in front of goal, and every player doing their job for the team. Plenty still to build on, but this group is showing exactly what they’re capable of”.

Alicia Martin was player of the match for her hat trick and all round play. 🏅🏅🏅

The Otters are back in action two weeks today when they travel to Cullompton who also have maximum points.

Half Time: Bere Alston 4–0 Ottery St Mary

A first half to forget for the Otters, as multiple mistakes allowed the hosts to take a commanding 4–0 lead into the break.

Changes were made at half time, and the Otters showed a much-improved performance in the second half, competing far better and giving themselves something to take from the game. Frank Long found the net twice, but the damage had already been done.

The second-half reaction was positive, but ultimately it was far too late after handing the hosts such a significant advantage in the opening 45 minutes.

A disappointing afternoon, but the response is now what matters.
