Overstrand Bowls Club

The ladies of Overstrand Bowls Club hosted the Aylsham ladies in a friendly match. Never before in our 100 year history have we hosted an all ladies team. This was a return match and after visiting Aylsham and coming away with one win out of three rinks the home fixture was a resounding victory with all three rinks winning. The game was followed by tea’s and cakes in the clubhouse. Everyone had a great afternoon and there was a number of people asking about next year.

Sunday 6th September was Overstrand Bowls Clubs Centenary celebration party. The afternoon was kicked off by a spider competition where for the first time no one hit the jack!! The nearest bowl was delivered by Ray who won a bottle of Prosecco. The committee organised a special Red v Blue roll up with a resounding victory for the Blue team. This was followed by a wonderful spread of food and drinks supplied by the club. Thank you for all those that were able to attend and join the club to celebrate 100 years of Overstrand Bowls Club.
