I am a KonMari Consultant in training. "Spark Joy!" the KonMari way, tidy and organised.

If only my junk was this organised. I hang onto these useless bits forever, then the workman tells me that they are all wrong for the job anyway. They don't even use your bits (of junk), they always want to use their own. I can't say how many new different shower heads I have got still clinging onto them because they cost so much to buy new, but they're always wrong when you need them.
Does anybody else do the same?

If you are feeling overwhelmed don't beat yourself up. Just try and do one small drawer like this little one of your knickers, small underwear vests and some bras. The KonMari method of folding bras is to keep them upright so they support each other in a drawer or box. And then make yourself a cup of tea and admire your work.

It's tough getting a grip on it all, but you are not alone.

They probably have these books in the library, although I get my books from WOB World of Books, really cheap and good value. They were read and passed on, ready to Spark Joy to someone new.
I feel that Spark Joy goes more into the folding of clothes and gives a good guide on the idea and process of tidying the KonMari method. But both books are the Bibles, really good to refer to as well.

Tidying and organising a conservatory. This took 2 and a half hours to do, so I was quite pleased with it, if I say so myself.

Thank you so much Tania for your awesome Marie Condo help 🙏 It was lovely to meeting you, not only are my clothes looking so much better - I can actually see everthing 🥰 but I feel so much more energized (even though I'm now a little tired, I didn't realize at the time just how much we had we got through! 😊), and I think that has a lot to do with your lovely personality. I have tidied up the 'bits & bobs' that were around the room, & I am starting to have the know-how of what to do to continue 🙂👍 I'll try and carry on with the clothes (and get some empty boxes ready - my homework! 🙂 ) for makeup & creams. 🙂 all best wishes, 😘 # # #

Happy New Year 2023. Lets hope it is peaceful and tidy, but don't be hard on yourself.

Makeup, this comes under the "Komono" stage. We used the little sample boxes and foundation boxes, even a dog biscuit packet, to keep the pencils and lipsticks upright in. And here is the sorting method, same as with wardrobe, you get all the categories together so that you can see exactly what you've got.

Even Santa Claus needs to keep his clothes tidy.

All we did was take the clothes out of this wardrobe, there were a few Thankyou and Goodbyes but not many, it was just a case of folding them up the KonMari way. The jumpers are mostly on the top shelf and you can just see everything now.

If you are feeling overwhelmed with too much "mess" put aside just an hour to tidy up one small space. Straighten out the sofa, make it comfortable, pump up the cushions and that's it - well done, that's a "Win". This would come under "Komono" in the stages.

I don't know if you can see, but in the bottom left I used dog biscuit boxes, and milk cartons and the like to keep the baking paper and sandwich bags and so on upright. You don't need to buy any storage to be tidy and organised, just use what ever is in your recyling bin. In the KonMari method, this stage comes under "Komono".
