Essence - this is a poem about who you truly are.

Inspired by nature - it’s so uplifting to be out in nature right now when you can sense the beauty and energy in all living things. 🌳❤️

Essence

There’s a peace and a glory,
That rests in your heart,
That resounds through or being,
Vibrating all the parts:
A wholeness,
A spaciousness,
A place that’s called presence
An energy that’s true love,
Your divine essence.

Have you noticed how nature can make you feel better? 🌳😊

If you have been out in nature recently you likely will have noticed how everything is bursting with energy and fecundity.

Beltane, a cross quarter fire festival is on 1st May, halfway between the spring equinox and the summer solstice. This Celtic festival celebrates the aliveness and fertility of the season as the sun moves towards its highest point in the sky.

Which I could sure feel this morning just after dawn, in the woods, bluebells around me and the undergrowth verdant.

Enough to make you smile, and be joyful to be alive, if you let it in.

Enough, when you hear the strident song of such a tiny wren, to make you feel amazed.

Enough, when the dappled golden light catches the gnarled bark of an oak tree, to make you slow up and breathe deeply and relax.

Even simple acts of interacting with nature, like caring for or looking at a plant, can help us humans feel good, fill our cup, replenish ourselves.

Happy Beltane 😊🌳💚

I don’t know about you, but this autumn has felt challenging.
All the loose ends from summer seemed to catch up at once, and I’ve been face-to-face with old patterns and shadows I thought I’d outgrown. But noticing them – even mid-flow, or afterwards – creates a little space. A gap where we remember we’re not the behaviour. We’re the awareness that sees it. And in that awareness, something softens. There’s a small awakening.

It’s a lifelong journey, but these moments reconnect us to who we truly are – to our own source of clarity, creativity and compassion.

Movement and stillness help us drop into that place. When life keeps us in constant doing, we rarely give ourselves the chance to settle, breathe, and feel ourselves again.

If you’ve been longing for a pocket of quiet this season, I’m holding a Winter Solstice evening with Pili Barroso, of gentle dance, Sound bath and Yoga Nidra – a pause from the festive rush, a moment to restore and reconnect.

Have you ever danced by the sea? 🌊

This summer I went down to Brighton for a few nights and sneaked off down to the sea early one morning. The sun was bright, sky azure and the sea beckoned me.

Once there, listening to my music and the sea in the background, I couldn’t help but dance, of course! It was such a pleasure to be buffeted by the wind and feel the sound of the waves crashing on the shoreline.

Not a care, one with life - that’s conscious dance 💃 😁

This weekend on Sunday morning, I’m holding a Deep and Wild Dance with a theme of water.

Come and join me if you’re feeling inspired to move and flow and feel free. 🌊

Earth Dance last Sunday was a perfect way to ground ourselves and connect with our bodies, allowing us to touch on deeper emotions, release, integrate and share.

Next Sunday, will be a dance with the element of Water: a chance to explore the flow and fluidity of your being, through freeform movement and awareness.
Where have you dammed up your energies?
What needs to move in you?
How can you find more flow in your life?

Come and join us to if this is calling you.

Deep and Wild Dances 💃💫

Would you love to dance freely, as if no one was watching you?

Imagine being in a safe and held space where you can simply dance and be you — allowing your body to move freely to the music, with gentle guidance to help you explore movement. Your muscles soften, your eyes close, your feet find the rhythm… you sway, stretch, and feel that, at last, you’ve found time to nurture yourself and truly listen to your body.

Imagine the surge of joy and exhilaration, your whole body tingling with energy and release.

Would you like to explore and enjoy dance more — or perhaps think you can’t dance? If so, this is a wonderful opportunity to be brave and take that small step towards more freedom. Or, if you already love to dance, come and do just that!

Deep and Wild Dance is a journey into your own body and being through movement and dance, exploring our physical, emotional, and mental relationship with the elements: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air.

The final element — Ether (Space/Stillness) — will be explored at the Winter Solstice Dance and Yoga Nidra on 21st December. This special evening will celebrate and honour the darkest, longest night of the year, culminating in a fire, hot drinks, and relaxed conversation under the winter sky.

What to expect:
A sacred and safe space
Guided movement and dance to curated music
Introduction and guidance on conscious dance
Circle time for sharing
Possible outdoor dancing
Herbal tea and biscuits
You can join all or as many sessions as you like — each one will be unique. I recommend all four if you can… plus the Winter Solstice celebration.
