Congratulations to South Oxford’s Neil Whiting, Dave Tidball, Richard Green and Tony Lynch on winning The JJ Plate at Abingdon Bowls Club yesterday.

Congratulations to South Oxford’s Chris Billingham, John Hall, John Cope and Jennie Lynch for winning this years Long Crendon Gala day which was held on Tuesday August 8th. Despite the bad weather on the day, a good day was had by all.

The New Bowling season is here!!

Thanks to a big effort by members who helped getting the club ready for the new season!

The Lakeside green will be open for roll ups from Wednesday 19th April at 10.00am. The surface is quite soft with the rain we have had recently so please take care of the green.

Short jacks recommended to start with.

There are still a number of outstanding jobs, so please see the lists around the club if you can help out.

Please come along and support the club events during October if you can.

Fun night at the Club this Friday 7th starts at 7.30pm.

Quiz night is on Saturday 15th hosted by our very own Glyn Ellis! 7.30 for 8.00pm

Fish and chip bingo on Saturday 22nd, 1st game @ 7.00pm

Dance to Gold Trax on Saturday 29th @ 7.30pm, always a very popular event.

Many congratulations to South Oxford ladies who reached the final of the Oxfordshire County Top Club played this morning at Kidlington Bowls club against Banbury Borough.
In a remarkably close game, South lost by a single shot, as both teams each won two rinks.

Congratulations go to Jim Feeley (Kidlington BC), Omar Sharif (City and County BC) and Mick Jelfs (Adderbury BC) on their wins in the Officers Cup, Longford Cup and Allison Cup respectively, the semi finals and finals of which were held today at South Oxford.
The weather was magnificent there was some excellent bowls on show. Thanks go to all of our members who kindly helped in the kitchen and prepared the greens to make the day run smoothly! Thank you all.
