Our OGKK-UK group in Oxford in growing with quality and confidence
It is incredibly rewarding to witness your consistent efforts and dedication to growth and improvement. Our second OGKK-UK dojo in Oxford has blossomed, bringing together three families and three individual adults, resulting in numerous green belts and two brown belts since March. The pride of the parents is palpable, and our local community is truly impressed by this group, especially the children. Stay tuned for photos, with videos coming soon!
Es increíblemente gratificante presenciar vuestro esfuerzo constante y vuestra dedicación al crecimiento y la mejora. Nuestro segundo dojo OGKK-UK en Oxford ha florecido, reuniendo a tres familias y tres adultos, lo que ha dado como resultado numerosos cinturones verdes y dos cinturones marrones desde marzo. As the year comes to an end, it is important to reflect on and pay tribute to Ryoichi Onaga Sensei, who had a significant impact on our karate paths. He was more than just a teacher; he was like a father figure to many of us. The lessons and memories he shared should resonate with all students around the globe who were fortunate enough to be taught by him. This restored photo is a reminder that his compassion, wisdom and teachings, influence still inspire us, as a legacy.

A medida que el año llega a su fin, es importante reflexionar y rendir homenaje a quien fuera nuestro maestro, Ryoichi Onaga Sensei, quien tuvo un impacto significativo en nuestros caminos en el karate Goju Ryu. This is a wonderful season for giving and sharing, and I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to everyone who has had the honour of training with Eichii Miyazato Sensei. In our practice of Okinawan Goju Ryu karate, it is essential to honour our roots and the traditions that shape us. Training and consistency are vital, but equally important is the respect we show for those who paved the way for us. Each practitioner who dedicates their life to mastering this art must recognise the contributions of those who came before. The images we share serve not only as memories but as reminders of our identity in karate and the lineage that supports it. We must also cherish the wisdom of today's masters, who were once students themselves, carrying forward the legacy of skills and knowledge. Our deepest respect goes to all Okinawan and Japanese masters, particularly Eiichi Miyazato Sensei, whose influence continues to guide us. In behave of OGKK – OGKK-UK salutes you all.

The spirit and memory of our Sensei are more than sufficient reasons for us to possess it. The Gojunkan Onaga Dojo should serve as a sanctuary for our memories and respect, and having Sensei Onaga's presence in our dojos is an essential part of that reverence and gratitude. Additionally, we are pleased to welcome our new senior leader, Sensei Toshiro Fujioka.
