Passionate about the benefits of pilates offering a range of Reformer and Mat classes for everyone.

Hopefully not!!!! Article in today's Sunday Times Style section on how Reformer Pilates is increasingly for the 1%. I've always believed it should not just be reserved for the wealthy and remember times when I simply couldn't afford to attend Reformer classes. Of course, it's still an investment, and clients are not only paying for access to the use of the amazing Reformer machines which are just the bomb, but the teacher training that takes many hours of time and money and all our teachers at PilatesOx are fully certified. But this doesn't mean it shouldn't be accessible to a wider audience - Pilates for All!!! 💜

"Change happens through movement and movement heals." Joseph Pilates.

People often look so serious when doing pilates, me very much included, but it's important to remember that the benefits are so much more than physical and its very much a mindful movement practice, that both relaxes us and give us a real endorphin boost. And most importantly, we have fun in class - so what's not to like! Book on thru link in bio ⏫️

BUT WE JUST CAME FOR FEET IN STRAPS!

If you have never done Reformer pilates before, this is a very weird concept, but once you have tried it, you will never look back.

With our feet in straps and the exercises such as Lift & Lower, Leg Circles, Bend & Stretch and many more, we relieve tension in the hamstrings and hip flexors, build core strength and pelvic stability and get into a deeper state of focus and body awareness.

It's an excellent way to safely loosen hamstrings for runners / athletes and also reduce lower back pain.

For the more flexible of us, we have to sometimes reign it in so we don't go to crazy - as my teacher always says, "Earn your range Alex".

If you have never tried it, come give it a go - it's blissful.

And thank you Rachel and Selma for agreeing to have your beautiful feet photographed! Much better than mine 😀.
