Congratulations to everyone that has received their A level results and is ! Oxford university lawn tennis club would love to have you. We are Oxford’s largest sports club and there is something for everyone to get involved in, with 10 different teams as well as social tennis🎾🎾 look out for us at the freshers fair! feel free to message on Facebook or Instagram if you have any further questions. This year the 133rd Varsity match will be held at North Oxford Lawn Tennis Club on the 24th and 25th June. Come down and show your support for the dark blues 💙💙💙 The 2/3/4/5/6s Varsity will also be held at various venues across Oxford with play commencing at 11am on both days. The clubhouse refurbishment project is finally underway! A team of committee members helped to clear everything out yesterday and work will be starting today.

Unfortunately, this does mean that the clubhouse will be out of use for at least the next few weeks; however by the start of next term we should all be able to enjoy a sparkling new clubhouse which will be a great space to socialise after sessions and events!

Balls and rackets are currently being stored outside the clubhouse in black bins, which should remain covered after use. Hopefully this arrangement works; however, if many issues arise due to this we will have to look for a more secure system.

Also, as a result, the toilet and running water facilities will be unavailable so make sure you bring plenty of water when you come to play, but there are still water fountains/ toilet facilities on the main site if you do need to use any. The ball machine will sadly be unavailable for use, as we do not have any external charging port for it, however, court bookings will continue as normal.

Vincent's Awards 2023-24

Each year Vincent’s Club offers awards for outstanding scholar athletes who have displayed excellence in sport, strong academic performance, leadership qualities, and a willingness to participate in outreach activities. Last year £40,000 was awarded in the form of eleven named scholarships and nine Awards, as well as the addition of the Bannister Award (the first of two annual major scholarships endowed by generous Vincent's Club members in memory of the late Sir Roger Bannister). The Bannister Award is worth up to £10,000 per annum.

Any individual who will be a student of the University of Oxford in the academic year of 2023-24 is eligible to apply if they play one of the University’s officially registered sports. The closing date is the 10th of March 2023 at 12pm sharp.
