Oxford Christmas Market The Oxford Christmas Market was established in 2009 and has since become a festive tradition in Oxford. We look forward to welcoming you!
It includes beautifully decorated wooden stalls offering wonderful Christmas gifts and seasonal treats. Local choirs and brass bands are performing Christmas carols throughout the event, adding to the festive atmosphere, and a small Victorian carousel delights the children. Come along and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

After pouring so many years of hard work into establishing the Oxford Christmas Market, it’s truly heartbreaking to see how its reputation has suffered since I was forced to step away two years ago and two other organisers held their own markets on Broad Street. 😢

I have decided not to set up a Christmas Market anywhere else and I am therefore now selling all my 61 Christmas Market stalls and equipment (decorations, tables, etc.).

It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that the Oxford Christmas Market had to be cancelled indefinitely.
The decision was not one I wanted to make, but circumstances left me with no choice.
The cancellation was triggered by changes made to Broad Street by Oxfordshire County Council, with the backing of Oxford City Council. They have insisted on maintaining the cycle lane, which had previously been permitted to be closed without any incidents since 2013.
The new layout and the associated conditions make it impossible for me to continue. Ensuring the safety of all is my top priority, and proceeding under such circumstances would be irresponsible, as it could potentially lead to accidents.
It has been an absolute joy and honour to create the Oxford Christmas Market and to establish a Christmas tradition in Oxford that has been cherished by many.

The 18 days of the Oxford Christmas Market 2022 are behind us. We had the most wonderful time and a record year - record visitor numbers and record temperatures🥶. Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed our market. Thanks to all our performers for spreading Christmas cheer. Thanks to all our stall holders for offering their wonderful products. Thanks to our travel partner Oxford Bus Company. And thanks to everyone in the background - builders, electricians, security guards, lorry drivers.

Day 12. The market is still asleep, but slowly awakening. We’ll be open from 10am - 6.30pm today.
Day 11 and Father Christmas is with us again today until 4pm. The market is open until 6.30pm tonight.
Day 10 and we’re already halfway through this year’s Oxford Christmas Market. Kidlington Concert Brass are already here spreading Christmas cheer. We’ll be open until 8pm tonight.
Day 8. It’s a beautiful sunny day. The lights are glistening. ✨ We’re open until 8pm today.
