Please join us in gathering together on Wednesday 8th July to remember Kaidon Hurn, who sadly passed away this week.

We will be meeting at our community garden at the front of Rose Hill Community Centre between 5:30pm-7pm. This is a space where you can light a candle, sit and reflect, and share memories.

Words from RHJYC Director, Aimee Winkfield:

"Kaidon spent a lot of his childhood with us at JYC, taking part in our youth clubs, holiday activities, trips, and events.

He attended our first international trip to Bonn, a truly enriching experience for all of the children and staff involved.

From 2021 onwards, he played an instrumental role in building up and looking after our allotment, turning it into the vibrant space still enjoyed by so many children today.

Kaidon loved taking part in anything creative from filmmaking to arts and crafts and music, he would try everything.

He was also a very competitive UNO player and loved challenging us all at boys club!

After benefitting from JYC himself, he became a volunteer as a young adult and helped with setting up our youth club activities and stalls at our community events.

He was a kind-hearted young man and everyone at RHJYC will miss him dearly."
