**********CHALLANGE 21 ***********
Unfortunately due to too many instances of bookings being made, where a false age has been given we have no other option but to implement the new rule challenge 21.. we will from now 22/07/2026 be asking anyone looking under this age to provide us with identification to be able to fish both the house lake (16+ ) or the specimen lake ( 18+ ) this form of ID needs to be a uk photocard e.g driving licence / provisional, a valid passport or a pass card. Without one of these present we will unfortunately refuse and you will be pointed to one of our other lakes where there is no age restriction.
We hope you understand why this rule is now in place and we apologise if this offends you.

Milton Pools regulars David and his wife Tracy had a cracking session on pegs 1 & 2 on the House Lake at the end of June with Tracy landing herself 9 Carp and 1 baby Kitten, 7 of which were caught using good old fashion maggot.
Her pick of the bunch was a stunning orange and black Koi absolutely gorgeous fish.
Well done to you both and we look forward to seeing you both again soon 🎣.

*BIRTHDAY PRESENT FOR MARTIN & FAMILY!*
Another monster from this past weekend.
In the early hours of Sunday morning Martin Ryder, who had been fishing all weekend with Milton Pools regular Tom and his family on pegs 4 & 5 on the Specimen Lake to celebrate his birthday, had a screaming run and when he struck into it he had a pretty good idea what it was…a big Catfish!
After playing it for a while it very kindly locked him up in the pads so Martin put the rod back down on his pod and left it a while to see if it swam its way back out and sure enough it did. Once again after a good fight he started to make up ground on it and eventually the beast slipped over the net cord.
And after catching his breath it was time to weigh it and the scales read just over 80lbs! Absolutely monstrous Cat well done that’s one way to remember your birthday weekend and more importantly one hell of a first Catfish 🎣.

This past weekend Milton Pools regular Steve came back for another session this time fishing peg 17 on the Specimen Lake.
After having a small Kitten around 10lbs he managed to net himself this lovely Common weighing 20lbs 2oz.
As always Steve was using his go to custom Five Star Baits boilies. Cracking fish Ginger well done mate see you again soon for the next one 🎣.

Ant managed to get a couple of sessions under his belt over the last few weeks and managed to bag himself a couple of nice fish in the process.
The first fish in the net was a 16lbs 10oz Mirror caught off of peg 2 on the Specimen Lake using a size 10 rig with two pieces of pop-up corn over a bed of sweetcorn and hempseed.
The next was a stunning 25lbs 10oz Grass Carp caught off of peg 16, once again on a size 10 rig but this time using a small barrel wafter over a bed of 12mm boilies.
Another couple to add to the collection roll on the next session 🎣.
*LAKE CLOSURE*
Good morning, on Wednesday 8th July we will be closing the Kidney Lake early due to an event. Anglers are more than welcome to fish the Kidney Lake on Wednesday however we ask that everyone has vacated the lake by 5pm.
The Kidney Lake will the reopen normally on Thursday 9th July.
Many thanks

Good afternoon, I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather we have once again!. This is a reminder for ALL anglers that attend our private fishing lakes with children under the age of 16, the form you READ and SIGN on your arrival states you as a
“ responsible adult “ will remain with your child / children at all times within 3m ( 9ft 10inch )!. Now I’m sorry to say the distance from our kidney lake to our fishery carpark is much much more than this! Since it is impossible to be in two places at once we can not and will not allow you to sit in your car while you leave 2 children lake side to sit with your dog in your vehicle as this clearly breaks the 3M rule.
As hot as the weather is the heat inside a vehicle is even more intense as such we as a fishery do not condone pets e.g dogs being left inside a vehicle for extended periods of time. Unfortunately we do not allow dogs onto the fishery premises unless they are service dogs so anyone leaving a dog / pet inside a vehicle has to leave the premises immediately.
