Oxford Aikikai: Oxford City and Oxford University Aikido Clubs

We don't just train in Oxford! As a member of the BAF (British Aikido Federation BAF) we have seminars all over the country. This weekend, we trained in Cardiff.

So now we know - we're all rubbish at darts! Fun night though 😀

Good day one of the BAF national course at Oxford dojo with Ian McClarence Sensei.

Big day for the club on Saturday as Daniel steps up to test for Shodan; our first black belt grading in nearly a decade! Andy Rayne, chief instructor of Azamikai the Edinburgh based organisation where Daniel began his Aikido journey more than 15 years ago, will be heading up proceedings. We have a full morning to look forward to with practice from 08:30am – 10:00am and 10:30am to 12pm; heaps of time for fun, dynamic training before/after the grading itself. Everyone welcome, regardless of level; come to one or both sessions, or even just come watch and take in what it means to try out for black belt 🥋
