Handover Day.

Dreams really do come true.

Today we officially take handover of our new partnership with Giant.

We’d like to thank Ian, Kieran, Max and the whole Giant team for their confidence and support as we begin this exciting new chapter together.

To Jon from Whiterooms and his team, thank you, it was a pleasure to have you on site. To Rob for turning up today for our handover, it was amazing to see you. I did hold back the tears!

Big news from Summertown Cycles

What hasn’t changed? We’re still privately owned, with the same friendly team and our fantastic workshop with three experienced technicians ready to keep you rolling.

What’s not to like?

🚪 Front of house closed: Saturday 9th May – Monday 24th May (2 weeks). We re-open on Tuesday 25th May.

🔧 Workshop remains open for bookings throughout

We’ll still have staff on site Monday to Friday during this time, so if you need advice or support, we’re here for you.

Summertown Cycles Introductory Maintenance Workshop

Want to feel more confident looking after your bike? We’re running a relaxed, hands-on workshop Sunday 12 April at 1100am to 12.30pm.

Using our equipment and our bikes, you will have a chance to practise useful mechanical skills with one of our experienced mechanics on hand to guide and answer your questions.

You will learn by watching, listening, and having a go yourself!

By the end of this course you will be able to:
● Make a safety check prior to riding.
● Repair a puncture.
● Clean and lubricate your bike.
● Make simple brake adjustments.
● Talk about your bike using proper terminology so that you can speak with confidence in any bike shop.
