Our brain is made up of three parts:
• The Reptilian Brain, online from birth, handles all our basic survival functions (think eating, sleeping, even digesting!).
• The Limbic System shapes our emotions and stores memories, so our childhood experiences can influence whether we’re confident or anxious today.
• The Neocortex, or Intelligent Brain, helps us think and plan—but it takes a moment to catch up.
