Student Nationals 2025 - Champions 🏆
Last Saturday, Oxford’s finest octopushers descended on Nottingham for the biggest student competition of the year. Despite it falling in the middle of the holidays this time, we gathered a strong team from all corners of the country to face a wide field of competitors. This year was also the first year there was an alumni competition alongside, to which Oxford brought back a team of players from throughout the club’s history, all the way back to one of our founding members!
After some hard fought games our student team came out triumphant, winning student nationals without dropping a point! This is a huge achievement for everyone involved, and I couldn’t be prouder of you all! Special congratulations must go out to our vice captain Cristian, who was awarded player’s player, and to Kai for playing in his first ever tournament! We also want to thank the draft players who helped to bolster our numbers and became our new friends!
Our alumni team also put in a great performance and got themselves a bronze medal to show for it.
Thanks to everyone for making the trip, can’t wait for next year!

Sorry we all had to rush out at the end so we haven’t got many photos, please feel free to send us any you took!

3rd-Totton
2nd-Chelmsford

We also want to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped out on poolside on the day allowing the tournament to run smoothly, from our committee members to all of you who helped with reffing and scoring over the day, we couldn’t have done it without you all!
We had a load of fun and can’t wait to do it again next year!! Hope to see you all back in the pool soon!

We are very proud of Jackson Spry who has been representing Great Britain this week at Kaula Lumpar Age Group World's. Playing for Team GB - Underwater Hockey in the under 24 Mens' team, he's scored 5 goals so far (and only been sent out twice!)
He is currently the president of our club and has been captain for the past 3 years leading us to success in loads of tournaments.
They finished their round robin yesterday and start play offs with a rematch (winning 4:2 yesterday) against South Africa at 09:00 today

Well done to everyone who came to cuppers this weekend, we loved hosting you and hope you had fun!
Congratulations to Teddy Hall for their victory, and thank you to the other players - OUYC, Hertford/Corpus, Catz/Trinity, Balliol, and the Blues swimmer dotted across the teams - for giving us some great games.
And finally of course a huge thank you to club members for helping out with organisation, referee, and teaching everyone new to the sport, especially non-uni members who came along just to make sure everything ran smoothly. The day couldn't have gone this well without you guys!
