Last week I was at Center Parcs with family. Happily it wasn’t quite as hot as it is atm! 🥵

Spending this morning with my grandson and then, this afternoon, I’ll be in front of the tv, in the lounge with blinds closed and fan on, watching the men’s semifinal at Wimbledon 🎾🎾🎾🎾🎾

So my considerations when getting dressed today. Comfort and staying cool plus the tennis!

Does it show? My outfit is a Mint Velvet tiered maxi skirt, Mint Velvet sleeveless tee and my super comfortable Lunar leather trainers.

I may be departing somewhat from my usual choice of Spring colours but I love white in the summer and couldn’t resist what I’d describe as my Wimbledon green top!

Only limited jewellery with 2yo grandson 😘.

I’m not really a football fan but I do enjoy a good match. Like many others, I’ve enjoyed several of the recent World Cup games.

One thing I’ve been struck by is the number of players now wearing pink football boots!

Players are wearing bright pink boots for ‘maximum visibility, as the fluorescent "electric fuchsia" hue creates the highest visual contrast against the green grass.’

Additionally, the players feel it amplifies their confidence on the pitch.’

Premium brands such as Nike & Adidas have designed football boots in pink rather than the traditional black because of their increased visibility and likely increased player confidence.

Football boot ‘fashion choices’ are now a thing.
Michael Olise - previously at Crystal Palace now Bayern Munich - wears colours according to his kit.
Blue /Navy when wearing his National France kit 🔷
Mint Green - custom dyed to match the strip in French away kit 🟢
White /Gold was his choice when playing for Crystal Palace ⬜️

Yesterday in the ladies clothing section was bursting with colour and temptation!

Something for everyone including the perfect dramatic gamine skirt.
Their merchandising is lovely using colour blocking in their displays.

There’s a super cafe serving delicious food and as for plants, both the indoor and outside displays are stunning.

If you’re anywhere near Burford in Oxfordshire, Burford Garden Company is well worth a visit.

Here’s what I’m wearing today. We are off to for coffee and it’s very warm ☀️.

A self confessed lover of all things linen, I ordered the mermaid green cropped wide leg trousers as soon as I received their sale email. I already have several pairs of the full length wide leg linen trousers and love them!

The cropped version are perfect for hot days so I’ve now ordered another two pairs. Admittedly there was only one spring colourway but below my waist I know I can make marine navy and burnt orange work!

Great job Kettlewell, these are absolute winners!

I had to wear my new skirt! So this is the Soft Yellow bias cut linen skirt and short sleeve faux wrap in Pink Geranium. All by Kettlewell.

After a day of childcare with our grandchildren combined with getting soaked at every opportunity - today I felt the need to be a bit more dressy. Sometimes I am comfortable dressing very casually. Today isn’t one of those days!
Yesterday a parcel from Kettlewell arrived and I was excited to try the contents. Et voila!

A Short Cascade Wrap in Aqua Surf and a sleeveless Darcy top in aquamarine. My skirt is from Vinted and also arrived yesterday! I first had one of these over 15 years ago but it tore 😩. As soon as I spotted this one, I was clicking the ‘buy now’ link.
I love the colours and slightly swishy feel! Happy me 😊

Sunshine is forecast for the weekend which I hope everyone gets chance to enjoy ☀️
