Fishery update.

After a very hot challenging summer for the fishery, it’s now finally looking a lot more promising with the water temperatures starting to cool. It won’t be long before fishing starts once again at Coltsford Mill.

Unfortunately, the last few weeks we’ve had lots of w**d growth that has decided to go mad in the mill lake, so i am spending a lot of time to try to remove as much as possible before we decide to open again, so please be patient as it’s taking a lot longer then we thought to remove it all.

If all goes well, we should be back open by the first week of October and I will confirm the official date in the next few days.

It’s lovely to see lots of fisheries especially in the south of east are now finally stocking their lakes and reopening after a long hot summer, but as always I will take my time to make sure that the fish will be happy in all the lakes once they have stocked.

Sorry for the delay getting the fishery back open but looking forward to seeing you all sometime very soon.

Fishery Update.

This was always going to be a matter of time, but because of the high water and the temperatures we have, we unfortunately have decided to close the fishery from this Sunday 19th July.

The main lake the Mill is looking really well with lovely clear water and with good oxygen levels and with no real algae problems, but unfortunately water temperatures have now become too warm and unfortunately the cascades as well. The willow lake is still a lot cooler due to the river flowing through the lake, but unfortunately with only 4 pegs on the lake and also we feel that we are unable are to restock due to the temperatures.

If everyone needs to purchase any tackle or vouchers the shop will remain open as normal, but maybe it’s worth letting us know before coming.

I do apologise for the closure, but this relentless hot weather has finally forced our hand so hopefully we will be back fishing sometime late September.

Please be aware that the fishery will be closed tomorrow the 13th May until 1pm as we have a members competition on.

Thursday 21st May (closed private function.)
Saturday 23rd May (fully Booked)
Sunday 24th May (closed until 1pm)

Well done to Terry Weldon on catching this cracking rainbow today at just over 12lb on the Willow Lake using a uv buzzer.

💥Coltsford Mill Doubles💥

Well done to Mike Walker on another cracking fish he has landed with a 10lb 14oz rainbow from the Mill Lake on this Saturday 9th May.

Well done to Steve Davis who come down fishing this morning, Sunday 10th May on his birthday and also had a brilliant morning fishing with catching 6 fish and also having a 10lb 10oz Rainbow from the Willow Lake.

So well done to both Mike Walker and also Happy Birthday to Steve Davis and hope you enjoyed the rest of your day. 🎂

A massive well done to Colin Ryder on catching his new personal best fish today with lovely looking rainbow weighing 10lb 14oz from the Willow lake.

Upcoming Fishery Closures.

Please be aware that the fishery will be closed tomorrow, Thursday 23rd of April due to a private event.

Closure dates.

Sunday 26th April closed until 1pm Club Event.
Friday 1st May closed all day Corporate Event.
Sunday 3rd May closed until 1pm Club Event.
Monday 13th May closed until 1pm Club Event.
Saturday 16th May closed all day Corporate Event.
Thursday 21st May closed Private Event.
Sunday 24th May closed until 1pm Club Event.

The fishing has still been generally very good, but the fishing can be a little bit tricky on the bright still days, but plenty of fish being caught on buzzers, especially on the end of the wind.

Lots of big fish are still being caught throughout the lakes, so hopefully we will have a few more out in the upcoming days.

Fishery closures/ Update

It Certainly has been a busy few days at the fishery after the members big fish competition, with bigger fish still being caught quite regularly. The fishing has been a little bit more challenging with the recent sunny weather, but still fishing ok.

Closure Dates

The fishery is now fully booked this
Thursday 16th April and also this Friday the 17th April and this Sunday 19th with a corporate event.
