Hi All
As some of you may be aware there was a planned Special General Meeting of the Renfrewshire Walking Network today, Monday 6th July 2026.
The meeting was called following a failure to find volunteers willing to fill vital office bearer vacancies on the management committee. The lack of response for volunteers to assist on the Committee has left us with no option but to call for the Dissolution of Renfrewshire Walking Network. A motion was passed in favour of the said dissolution of the group.
The planned walks on Wednesday 8th July will still go ahead but any further Wednesday walks are all cancelled.

This Wednesday 8th July walk will take place but will be the last of the Renfrewshire Walking Network Wednesday walks

Level 1 - RENFREW HERITAGE TRAIL (CIRCULAR 3.2MLS/5.1KMS)
Today we will walk around the historic Burgh of Renfrew, taking in a number of interesting buildings and parks. Walk starts at 1pm at Paisley Rd. main entrance to Robertson Park

Level 2 - DAVID LIVINGSTON HERITAGE TRAIL (CIRCULAR 7MLS/11.2KMS)
A new walk and adventure for us today, visiting the birthplace of Scotland's greatest explorer. We will visit the centre bearing his name and enjoy a forest and riverside walk. Walk starts at 10.30 under the clock at Glasgow Central Station. Return ticket to Blantyre

The Local Community Health walks will continue to run as normal at present. More information to follow.

Regards
Secretary Renfrewshire Walking Network
