🌎 World Mental health Day 🌎

Bowls can play a big part in a members mental health wellbeing.
Bowls can work in different ways towards it...
The social and friendly side of bowls can benefit mental health....
The downside can be that during a game if your struggling to find your weight or grass it could have a detrimental effect on mental health.
At Ralston Bowling Club we are lucky to now have a large number of coaches in place that can help our Members improve their game and work to improve your well being when this situation arises.

🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Closing Day 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Yesterday was our Greens Closing day that saw an end to the outdoor season on our Diamond Jubilee Year πŸ’Ž
A fantastic turnout came along to compete for the Bill Mair Trophy ( Originally a Junior, Lady and a Veteran made up the team) with a Mixed Wappenshaw the order of the day.

πŸ†David Craig, Lorraine Hamilton, Alison Ross & Freddie Graham πŸ†

Well done to the winners πŸ‘πŸ†

Thanks to everyone who came along to join in a fun filled day.
Well done to President David McLucas as he said a few words and officially lowered the flag and brought the outdoor season to an end on our Diamond Jubilee Year πŸ’Ž

The Bill Mair Trophy πŸ† will be presented along with all the other Mixed Trophies at the Gents Presentation night on November 28th πŸ˜€πŸ‘

πŸ† PAISLEY & DISTRICT INDOOR BOWLING ASSOCIATION πŸ†
JOHN BUCHANAN TROPHY

Last night, Ralston had four teams out representing the club in the John Buchanan Trophy, with matches being played across the district.

🎳 David Ross, Norman Kermath & Freddie Graham
πŸ†š Shanks
πŸ“ Hawkhead Bowling Club

🎳 Kenny MacMillan, Andy Naismith & Chris Hamilton
πŸ†š Priorscroft
πŸ“ Inchinnan Bowling Club

🎳 Stuart Brown, Robert Fraser & Dougie Craig
πŸ†š Johnstone
πŸ“ Renfrew Bowling Club

🎳 Tommy Paterson, Stuart Rattray & Bert McArthur
πŸ†š Inkerman
πŸ“ Charleston Bowling Club

πŸ‘ It was a fantastic overall performance from the Ralston teams,
with all four matches won, giving us the maximum 8 points and an impressive overall shots difference of +22.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t quite enough to take home the trophy, with current Division 1 champions Elderslie Wallace Bowling Club finishing with a higher overall shots surplus.

Nevertheless, it was a brilliant start to the new indoor season and a performance everyone involved can be proud of. πŸ’ͺ

πŸ‘ Well done to all 12 Ralston players who represented the club so well.

πŸ† And congratulations to Elderslie Wallace Bowling Club on winning the John Buchanan Trophy. πŸ‘

A very encouraging start for Ralston β€” well done lads! πŸ”΄πŸ”΅πŸŸ‘

πŸ’™ FUTURES FOR THE BRAVE πŸ’™

Ralston Bowling Club is incredibly proud to continue our long-standing support of Erskine Veterans Charity.

At this year’s Erskine Shield Charity Day, we raised a fantastic Β£1,572! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who played, donated, helped organise the day or supported the event in any way. Your generosity continues to make a real difference.

We are delighted to support the fantastic work carried out by Erskine Veterans Charity and Alison Erskine Veterans Charity, and we look forward to continuing that support for many years to come.
