Hole in One Alert. Scot Stevenson aced his first hole in one on the 7th today. He swung a sweetly struck 7 iron with his ball sailing through the rain straight into the hole. Kingsbarns Distillery & Visitor Centre will be sending him a personalised bottle of their Docot Whisky to mark the occasion. Scot has also put two bottles on the clubhouse bar for members to celebrate. Well done Scot! ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒโ€โ™‚๏ธโ›ณ๏ธ๐Ÿฅƒ

We hosted our penultimate open competition of the season, with another great turnout for the Hamilton Property Peebles Mixed Seniors Open!

A huge thanks to Sam and John from our sponsors, who provided halfway house refreshments and hospitality, alongside our team of volunteers who ensured the smooth running of the event with our office staff.

The course was on fabulous condition and we had great feedback from our many visitors, which reflected in the impressive scramble scoring.

โ™ฅ๏ธ | On behalf of the French family, we are delighted to announce that this yearโ€™s Gary French Memorial Golf Day raised an amazing total of ยฃ11,752 โ€“ a fantastic effort from everyone involved in organising and supporting the day.

This brings the three-year fundraising total to an incredible ยฃ40,382, with all proceeds going towards the British Heart Foundation - Scotland.

Garyโ€™s daughter Emily said: โ€œWe are overwhelmed with the support weโ€™ve had for this yearโ€™s event in July, and also over the last three years. We are grateful to all the members, visitors, sponsors and other supporters who contributed to such an important cause, and the legacy that Dad has left. Iโ€™m sure everyone who took part in the day would agree it was great fun with so many people in the clubhouse until late at night, and a day that Dad would certainly have loved!โ€

โ€œWe had amazing support from so many people, from hole sponsors to companies who donated great prizes for the auction and raffle, the golfers who played on the day and the many volunteers who helped out on the day. The family would like to thank everyone for making the event so memorable over the years, and weโ€™re very proud of our efforts in hosting such a big event in Dadโ€™s name. We know our chosen charity, the British Heart Foundation, are also immensely grateful and the money raised will make a difference to the great work they do in Scotland."

The event in July was the last in its current fundraising format, but the Gary French Memorial Cup will continue to be part of the clubโ€™s fixture list for members to play in.
