Step 3 for Harpo is to run with a loose lead, not ideal. But works well in this environment. If we remove the lead altogether Harpo shoots off. So we are still working on keeping him with the bike. To be continued.….
Step 2 is adding the bike. Working on heal with the lead without pulling.
First part of getting your dog to be a trail dog is general obedience. This is Harpo walking and running to heal. Next step the bike.

Buzzard car park closed as they are resurfacing the fire road. ⚠️ Glentress Works Notice - forest drive up to Go Ape and Buzzards Nest car parks closed to vehicles from today, Tuesday 26 April for ~3 days for essential road maintenance and repair, reopening Friday 29 April.
Bike and walk trails will remain open but please wait for operators to wave you through before passing, if you meet heavy machinery on the main forest road. Peel Centre carparks and Lower Overflow car parks open as normal for parking.
Also on Thursday 28 April Alpine Bikes Glentress and the Peel Cafe, Glentress will be closed and no toilets available at the Gateway building or bike wash - due to a power shut down on site for essential work to the electricity network between 9am and 4pm.
Finally, next week the vehicle bridge into the Peel Visitor Centre will be closed on Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 May. Nearby alternative parking will be at the Lower Overflow car park and field.
