What a fantastic start for the Under 8's who started their season with a win in Haverfordwest!

Player of the match, on his Quins debut, was awarded to Jesse, for his determination, great runs and helping and working with his teammates. Well done Jesse 👏

🏉 Under 7’s player of the Match 🏉

The brand new Under 7’s played their first ever match in Haverfordwest yesterday. A great team performance led to a super competitive match which saw them score 12 try’s.

With such a bright start to their rugby journey the player of the match goes to every single one of them. Well Done all of you 👏

Our U12s kicked off their first season of junior rugby with a hard fought match against Haverfordwest.

A determined performance earned them a narrow 14-12 win against a very good team.

Even after a long summer break, it’s business as usual for Kian… Making his mark on the match with lots of tackles and strong carries, as well as great link up play with his teammates 💪🏼

What a fantastic first game of contact rugby for the Under 9’s this week! 🙌🏼 Every single player stepped up to the plate and put in a brilliant performance. The effort, attitude and commitment from the players was outstanding! 💪🏼

🔥 Dougie Barnett
Dougie continued his fantastic form from last season, crossing the line 6 times with some brilliant solo runs! 🏉🔥 But it wasn’t just his attacking game that stood out. Dougie worked incredibly hard in defence, making some excellent covering tackles and stopping what looked like certain tries. Outstanding effort! 👏🏼

💪🏼 Charlie Jenkins
There really is no other word for Charlie than MACHINE! 🔥 Hands down one of the best defensive performances we’ve seen from someone his age. An unbelievable number of tackles, huge defensive carries and a work rate that was simply out of this world! 💥

To top it all off, his hard carries with the ball paid off with 2 tries to round off a brilliant performance! 🏉👏🏼

💥 Mason James
A different animal this year! Mason is really starting to come into his own with contact rugby, and his confidence is through the roof. He was constantly up in the opposition’s face in defence, while also putting in some seriously hard carries with the ball in hand. 💪🏼🔥

⭐ Jax Hodgson ⭐

Another outstanding performance from Jax today! 💪🏼

A strong performance with the ball, carrying hard and crossing the line for an impressive 4 tries! 🔥

But the biggest highlight today was Jax’s defence. He’s worked incredibly hard over the summer on his defensive game — improving his pressing, getting his body position right and making those dominant tackles 💪🏼💥

It’s fantastic to see all that hard work paying off!

A fantastic session for our Under 9’s and Under 10’s this week, with the players lucky enough to have Steve Barnett, the Quins 1st Team Coach for the last two seasons, take them through a defensive session ahead of their first game of the season this Sunday. 🏉

Barney brings a huge amount of experience to the table, both as a player and a coach, having first put a pair of boots on 57 years ago! 👏🏼

It was brilliant to see him passing on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of Quins as they begin their own rugby journeys. There’s so much the players can learn from someone who has been involved in the game for so many years.

And somehow, he even managed to keep them all interested, listening and paying attention for the whole hour… 😂😂 So fair play to him for that!

A massive thank you, Barney, for giving up your time and helping the players prepare for the season ahead. It was great to see and hopefully we can have plenty more sessions like this over the coming years. 🤞🏼
