South Pembrokeshire Golf Club

In two weeks time SPGC are holding an OPEN DAY, Saturday 19th September, to raise funds for course maintenance. The individual stableford competition is open to gents, ladies and visitors and is £10 for members and £20 for visitors. Juniors are also welcome with a handicap and playing with an adult. On 12th August 2026 SPGC were proud to host the WWLGA Team Shield Event. It was a fabulous day concluding with great views of the eclipse in the evening.
The winners of the Team Shield were the ladies from South Pembs with a fabulous score of 152 points. The winners being Kelly Williamson Kennet with 39, Jane Parsons with 39, Lynne Badham 38 and Fiona Matchett with 36. Kelly was also winner of Div.1., Jane Parsons was 3rd in Div.2 and Lynne Badham came 4th in Div.2
Thank you to the WWLGA for holding the event at SPGC it was a fabulous success and it was a real pleasure to host such a prestigious event. We look forward to formally being presented with the Team Shield at the Annual luncheon AGM at the Ivy Bush Royal Hotel in Carmarthen on Wednesday 18th November. 🏌️‍♀️🛡️🏌️‍♀️

The JOKER was drawn this week on Lady Captain’s Day. The lucky winner of £25 was Steve Panton with the 7 spades/card 35. The new JOKER pot now stands at £758. The next DRAW will take place, Thursday 24th September

Junior Section
What a fantastic day, welcoming our new junior members to SPGC. 22 juniors played in a very enjoyable Texas Scramble competition, returning to the clubhouse for a presentation and some light refreshment, joined by their very proud parents.
This was a successful start to our new Junior Section. Looking forward to lots of competitions in the future.
Well done everyone and thanks to all those who supported.

The golf club have been made aware of an incident that occurred on the golf course, Thursday 30th July at approximately 20:30. A group of 3-4 boys were seen at the 10th tee box area hitting golf balls away from the course towards residential houses in St Patrick’s Hill, causing damage to property with potential injury to the public. The golf club have recently been in contact with the police regarding anti social- behaviour on the course and have requested extra PSCO’s patrol the area. If anyone hears anything or has any information please contact the Club. This incident has also been reported to the police.
