🔵🔴 𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 🔴🔵

The Groes went raring and taring all season long and finally got over the line. A long term aspiration was to be promoted and we’ve been so close before, but now we have done it. It’s been an incredible season with so many people contributing and we thank everyone who’s put on the jersey throughout the season. Unfortunately we couldn’t go ahead with the last game of the season with the weather beating us.

Credit to Cowbridge who pushed us the whole way and we only just missed out by 2 points, we will see you next year in division 8 🤝

And finally we would like to thank the sponsors for making it all possible. Also an amazing feature we’ve had this season is the club which we now can call home sitting beside our pitch.

We cannot wait for next season already but before thinking of that, it’s time to celebrate down the club 🎉🎉

Here is the side for the last game of the season as we welcome Llandarcy to the park. A game where we are guaranteed promotion no matter the result, but the Groes can still become champions depending on the Cowbridge v Llandeilo result. Regardless there will be a celebration with a promotion party in the club following the game.

Today’s result has guaranteed our promotion to division 8 next season. A tough game with us going into bat and only managing 199, but the bowling attack came through to secure a 42 run win.

An amazing achievement for the club as it’s been in our sites since we’ve started back, but with only 2 points separating us and first Cowbridge, there is still a chance for us to be champions. We welcome Llandarcy next week in our final game of the season.
