CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS 🏆

What a fantastic inaugural Tennis Wales Champion of Champions event today, with some superb tennis on display — and Windsor Penarth LTC certainly made its mark!

A huge congratulations to the super-talented Lendrum brothers, Max & Evan, who took the title with some brilliant tennis 🏆

Another Windsor Penarth victory for the formidable Olivia Scarfi & Ross Adams! 🏆

🥉 LADIES DOUBLES — 3RD PLACE
Well done to Olivia Scarfi & talented junior Cadi Owen, who battled their way to a fantastic third place! 👏

There was superb tennis throughout the day, and huge credit to all our Windsor players for their strong performances and fantastic representation of the club.

SUPER VETS FINALS DAY

What a fantastic day of tennis yesterday as we wrapped up another brilliant Super Vets tournament! There was plenty of competitive tennis, great sportsmanship, lots of laughs and, of course, some very well-earned cake breaks! 🍰

A huge thank you to our amazing tournament organisers, Beauly and Jamie Graham, for all their hard work, time and dedication (not just for the Super Vets, but for running every single tournament throughout the year). Our club competitions simply wouldn’t happen without volunteers like you, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything you do to make them such a success. 🙌

A big thank you too to all the wonderful bakers for the delicious homemade cakes and treats, and to everyone who came along to support and cheer on the players. Your encouragement makes Finals Days even more special.

The Ladies’ Singles final has been postponed due to illness - wishing everyone well and hoping it can be played soon.

JUNIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026 🏆🎾

What a weekend! 70 junior members took to the courts for our annual Junior Championships, with events ranging all the way from 8&U through to 18&U.

We’ll be sharing the full Roll of Honour and presentation photos on our page today, but first we wanted to give a special shout-out to this year’s special award winners:

🏆 Junior Volunteer of the Year: Tom Hall
Winning the award for the second time, in recognition of his amazing contribution to our Mini Tennis programme and club events throughout the year.

🏆 Junior Club Person of the Year: Ethan Ashburner
In recognition of his fantastic commitment to training and the huge impact he has made within our men’s teams.

🏆 Most Improved Player: Megan Thomas-Baker
Recognising her commitment to coaching, getting out on the match court in both internal and external competitions, and the brilliant progress she has made throughout the year.

🏆 Junior Player of the Year: Charlie Newman
Following his Adult Club Championships success last year, Charlie has gone on to enjoy quadruple success at the Welsh Championships, earn selection for Team Wales and produce some outstanding performances in competition at national level.

👏 A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend possible... parents, bar helpers, umpires, trophy sponsors, coaches and leaders.

Most importantly, congratulations to every junior who got out on court and competed 👏

Today was the annual Penarth Shield which is a fun social tournament between Rectory and Windsor. All matches were competitive and played in good spirit.
Windsor came away with the win today by the narrowest of margins.
Many thanks to Penarth, they were the perfect hosts, good tennis, good food and excellent company. We look forward to welcoming you back to Windsor next year.

The ladies of the club know how to celebrate in style at a post summer season get together last night. Delicious homemade foods, lots of catching up across all teams and social players. An evening to remember. Bring on the winter season! ☃️

What a day for club championship finals it was. Superb tennis, great atmosphere, the sun was shining, music playing, food excellent, drinks flowing.
