The men’s 4ths went to Llantrisant Sunday afternoon , were lucky with the weather, and got a good 4-2 win 😊 Team: Rhodri, Ethan, Ceri, Coxy, Adrian, and Dyfri. After being behind 1-2 in rubbers after the first round , Windsor won the next 3 rubbers ; a special mention for Ade and Coxy for beating a difficult Llantrisant 1st pair on a 3rd set tie break👏. That’s 4 wins out of 4 for the 4ths, on equal points at the top of the table with also unbeaten Swansea T&SC 👍

Windsor Men’s 3rds enjoyed glorious summer conditions during their away fixture at Radyr on Saturday afternoon. Despite the match finishing in a 3–3 winning draw, Windsor delivered a dominant performance, with all three defeats coming narrowly in champions tie-breaks. Special thanks go to David Barker for stepping in at short notice to cover injury and well done to Darryl and Dan for bringing home two crucial wins to secure the tie. Team Payney & Jamie, Darryl & Pitty, Guy & David Barker (Jamie missing from team photo).
Windsor Mens 5ths had a good 5-1 win away at a very humid Abergavenny 2nds on Sunday afternoon. Ben & Bock got us off to a nice start with a convincing win to start.
Rhodri & Huw and Chris & Tom both came out on the right side of some 3rd set tie breaks against their 1sts & 2nds respectively....and both Windsor pairs then got the crucial results with convincing wins in their 2nd rubbers to claim a good away 5-1 win 👍🏻🎾👍🏻 Team from left to right:

Another impressive win for our Over-60s mixed team on Thursday by 4-0, at home to Cwmbran. Once again it was an enjoyable match, played in good spirits. Congratulations to our team of (L-R) Peter R (capt), Kay, Phil and Gwenda, who all performed well despite the heat, and without dropping a set between them.
The ladies’ 4th team came away from playing at Bridgend with a brilliant 6:0 win. It was a surprisingly hot afternoon on Saturday. Lots of good tennis was played by the team consisting of Gill, Andrea, Teca, Bettina, Ann and Gwenda followed by a delicious tea. 🌞
It was a local derby in the National League for the ladies on Friday evening, playing against Rectory Road. It was 2-2 after the singles round, but unfortunately the doubles didn’t go our way, with Rectory taking the 4-2 win. Much kudos to the 3 juniors who played (Nia, Medi and Poppy), who did the club proud, with their great shots, fighting spirit and fair play.

A fifths team first travelling to Aberaeron (West Wales) to play in the late May heatwave on Sunday, 24th May. Despite a 6-0 loss overall against a very strong side, Liz and Jane managed to hold their nerves with some long rallies. Cath and Meg were able to steal back a few service games thanks to some great aces from Cath. After coming second, a mandatory ice cream by the seaside was needed! 🌞🍦

Men’s 2nds vs. Stow Park 1st
Result: 2-4 Defeat (Home)
A big thank you to the fantastic crowd who turned out to support the team on Friday night. The lads gave it absolutely everything against a very strong Stow Park outfit.
The Lineup: Dan J & Tim D, Ross & Jason, Matt C & Charlie
A special shout-out to Charlie, who made a fantastic second-team debut playing alongside Matt. The pair pushed their second pair incredibly close and followed it up with a brilliant, convincing win against their third pair.
A tough result overall, but plenty of positives to take into the next fixture. Well played, everyone!
Very tricky assignment on Sunday against a very strong Aberdare team, losing 4-0. Pete R and Gareth had the toughest of days against the 1st and 2nd pairs, going down 6-0 6-1 and 6-0 6-0 respectively. Ollie and Pete B started well against their 3rd pair, but lost 6-3 6-0, and then went down 6-0 6-1 to their 1st pair. Si and Harry got beat 6-0 6-1 against their 2nd, but fought really hard againt their 3rd pair going down 6-2 6-4. Big shout to young Harry C who played with great skill and determination...thanks to all who played. Aberdare boys great guys as usual...✌️sorry no photo, fotgot it, my brain had melted in the heat....😁
It was a Summer sizzler for the Men’s 3rds on Sunday evening as they faced Llantrisant 1sts on the home clay. Undefeated with an exceptionally strong first pair, Llantrisant were the team to beat but as the temperatures rose, so Windsor rose to the challenge. With experienced stalwarts Guy and Mogsy securing two crucial rubbers, Windsor battled to Victory. Final score 4-2. Team Payney & Jamie G, Darryl & Dan P, Guy & Mogsy.
A fantastic away day for the 1sts, who made the trip to Bridgend on Saturday count with an impressive 5-1 victory. Seb and Felix once again showed why they’re the pair to beat in this league, both delivering brilliant performances. Ross and Evan combined well to deliver two solid matches, while Max and Dan rounded off the day in style, picking up two more wins to seal a dominant team display. Well done everyone 🎾🌞👏🏻

The Over-60s team secured an impressive 4-0 win away to Bridgend on Tuesday, dropping just one set. Our fab four weren’t phased by having to play the 1st round indoors, under the ‘bubble’, or by having to switch to clay courts outdoors, for the 2nd round. Llongyfarchiadau mawr to our team of (L-R), Steve, Eileen, Teca and Alan.
Ladies 4 ths played away at Ibiza on Saturday. Well actually David Lloyd on a really hot and steamy Saturday with lively atmosphere, crowded pool and resident DJ blasting out the tunes. Fortunately our stalwart ladies resisted the dance moves and came away with a winning draw by a set and a game. Well played Gill P and Karen, Sarah and Eileen and Tina and Ann.
The women’s 2nds enjoyed a 5-1 win against Radyr on a hot and sunny Sunday afternoon. It was a day for tiebreaks with 3 third sets and 2 set tiebreaks all bar 1 going in our favour. Special thanks to Cathy playing up, not sure she expected 2 third set tiebreaks and over 4 hours of tennis in the heat - we really appreciate it. Team: Sophie, Catherine, Anna, Izzy, Poppy, Cathy
