If you’re using the courts and happen to spot this little pink bench, it’s part of something really important 💗

The bench has been provided by the Speakeasy Club, an organisation dedicated to promoting good mental health. They provide free resources that are usually accessible via the QR code on the bench - a simple way to get support when you might need it most.

Unfortunately, the QR tag has disappeared so we will look to install a new one asap.

Adult Beginner - Improver Tennis down the 'Rec at Penarth Athletic Club is BACK!

Tennis Down the Rec is an accessible, weekly, organised social tennis experience with a difference.

Open to ages 15+ and adults, sessions take place on the Penarth Athletic courts and are run by Penarth Windsor Lawn Tennis Club Head Coach Rob Wedlake.

Sessions include:

🎾 Fun, interactive games using low-compression balls
🎾A relaxed and friendly social environment set to music
🎾 Ideal for beginners and improvers
🎾 A focus on the physical and mental wellbeing benefits of tennis

Spring is in the air and the tennis season is on its way! While Wimbledon may not start until July, the tennis world really begins to get going from April.

🎾 Tennis Down the Rec is Back!
Tennis Down the Rec is an accessible, weekly, organised social tennis experience with a difference.
Open to ages 15+ and adults, sessions take place on the Penarth Athletic courts and are run by the Head Coach from Windsor LTC Penarth, in collaboration with the Tennis Wales Tiebreak Fund and the Speakeasy Club.
Sessions include:

• Ideal for beginners and improvers
• A focus on the physical and mental wellbeing benefits of tennis

🎾 Children's Tennis Camps - Holiday Programme
Our children's tennis camps are back during the school holidays.
These take place at Windsor LTC Penarth (next door to Evenlode Primary School), not on the athletic courts.
Details:
• Ages: 6-12
• Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays during school holidays
• Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm
• Delivered by: LTA-qualified coaches
Camps include coaching, fun games, multi-sport activities and plenty of tennis.

🎾 Pair and Play Tennis - Tuesdays 6pm
Our Pair and Play sessions run every Tuesday at 6pm.
Originally the beginner course held on the athletic courts last year, this programme has now progressed onto the Windsor LTC club courts for the full season.
These sessions are ideal for:
• Players who have completed a beginner course
• Those returning to tennis after a break
Sessions operate on a pay monthly basis, with discounted rates available for those who join the club.

The Penarth Athletic courts are available to book all year round.
